I agree I think the c-bill earnings are to generous also. :) Maybe more realism when repair and rearm finally return.

This 300 MC incentive for capping a planet is nice though. Also the 5k MC and 150 mill or so and mech bays for ranking up.

The 300 MC is actually a great reward, because it's like being given a free Mechbay, but you still have the choice of something else if you really wanted.

This is a very cool concept, and may encourage people to jump into CW. Personally, I love some of the maps there (and wish they were in the Pub Queue, especially Emerald Taiga), but I find the mission type a little restrictive.
Would love to see a Conquest Style game type, with the Capture Points tied to gate and turret control, possible repair/rearm bays, Cbill and/or XP Booster nodes, etc.
So, you could just cap the three central nodes and hold for a win. Or risk running for the C-bill booster node to double (or maybe just one and a half) the rate of your C-bills for the match. Or capture that outlying turret control tower to turn the enemies defenses against them.

I'll admit, the current Lane system feels far too much like a game of Dota or LoL, but without the Creeps. And that would also be a cool game type, even if it completely breaks BT immersion. Respawns, Character (Tonnage) Upgrades, NPC Creeps (Tanks, Battle Armor, Aerospace), Towers, an Overlord for each team to destroy. Each team could start at 20 or so tons and upgrade, based on point earned, to bigger chassis. If you want to completely disregard Lore.

But back to on-topic... We will be doing another "micro event" tomorrow.. keep your eyes peeled. Every faction will be getting something sooner or later.

Because this is still a manual process, we are only doing 2 factions at a time. We will ramp it up after monitoring what you, the players of CW, do and don't do.

CW Phase 3 will be adding more FEATURES to the game, Alex Garden and I are playing with this lore concept for possible inclusion later on. This post was just a means for me to have a light hearted but clear conversation with y'all about what it is that we're doing.

Have an incoming transmission bar at the base of the screen in game that posts up primus intercepts that are active. Some more useful stuff for the home screen perhaps? A cool black background with green text plz. Matrix style.

As for the warning, people should get used to it and be on alert for CW activity in their space. Time to get organised!

Well, I figure if we use Mordor as a trial Map for this, he could spawn in the center of Mount Doom?

Very much looking forward to Phase 3, and how things in CW Land proceed from there.

If possible, would you guys be able to insert this into Phase 3 as a Weekly challenge for each faction, perhaps? So, "The leader of your faction has tasked you with taking this planet. You have 2 days. Go."

Edit: Just had a hilarious thought. Roshan could be a GaussZilla, or perhaps the Ares or Orca.

It's all good. People blame stuff on me that I didn't do.. people blame stuff on Russ that he didn't do.. I personally blame everything on Buckton but we all know he didn't do it. It's part of being public facing from a gaming company. I will let this little tid bit slip tho... Someone who's name rhymes with RUSS is asking for an investigation into the difference in C-Bill generation per hour between both public and CW game sections. I.e. is there something we can buff in CW?

The only suggestion I have is that the rewards should be better for the inactive factions, and probably more frequent... but on the other hand, you have to get ALL factions involved in some way (even if the goal manipulates the map a certain way).

The lack of rewards post acquiring a planet is generally what's missing in the "payoff aspect". Sure you get your unit tag on it, but it could easily "go away" as quickly as it is claimed (based on current CW mechanics).
