i am just LIVID! how many more things are you morons gonna nerf? we might as well be shooting darts at each other! yea you know what do that.. nerf EVERYTHING into oblivion and replace all weapons with darts and then nerf the darts. perfect get on that.. you ruined the locust once before, and now again? its the weakest mech in the damn game, it needs buffs! the clans are supposed to be OP why nerf them... why? because no one would play IS anymore? well i have a crazy idea, time to bring out the tech that allows clan weaponry on IS mechs... that simple... i have tried being patient with you guys, but you ******* keep on just finger popping each others ******** and coming up with new ways to piss the community off... paul and russ, and the entire crew at PGI need to be fired and give the game back to microsoft or where ever the hell its from.. i am unistalling this **** mech game and im going over HBS and playing their BT game when its out. paul has no f'ing idea how this game is supposed to be played nor does anybody at that **** company.. cant believe i spent $1,500 in this game... clearly not pay to win... ******* pay to loose is more like it. i feel sorry for all the die hard BT fans out there that you idiots have pissed off and ****** off to play hawken or what ever they are playing now. and if they are still playing this game, i feel even MORE sorry for them for how utterly blind they are by saying "oh this game is so good, better than all the other mech games" yea... keep telling yourself that.... anyway **** off and die PGI, **** off and die..

Locust is still strong. Kodiak was too agile. You're only mad because it's harder to cheese in matches with overquirked mechs now.

Wow, rage much?

And when you say, "cant believe i spent $1,500 in this game...", I have to wonder ... really? Are you angry because of a nerf? Personally, I would be kicking myself for being so lame that I had to spend that much money just to play a game. Currently I think that I am under $20 total, and get every penny's worth of enjoyment out of it.

I am in agreement with you on some of your more non-hysterical comments. The folks at PGI are out of touch on some of the most important mistakes they have made, and desperately continue to stand behind... namely the coupling of Scouting to Faction play and the obvious blunder of the LongTom in Faction play, but that is another topic all together.

Hope you enjoy your new game, and take my advice and save your money. Instead get good at the game by earning your mechs, and only purchase those things you really can't live without. That way, you won't be so invested that you burst a blood vessel when things don't work out.

Best regards...

I agree with SilverWind, they nerfed the IS mechs too much, Funny how the new mechs they are offering for sale are all buffed hard to kill, at least until they nerf them when the big sale rush is over. All I can say is I am done. I had no problem spending 70.00 once in a while for a set of mechs but no more. Not gonna spend anymore.

Dakka bear still strong. The fixed a BUG that would let you break the game mechanics ffs. Posted Image
2 groups and chainfire will get you the DPS you had, just not the same initial burst.

Not saying I'm happy with the patch, just saying the quad AC10 needed fixed.

Funny that you should mention tabletop BT. If we went by the designs of the TT, then the Kodiak-3 would only have 2 ballistic hardpoint, not 4.

Straight from sarna.net:
  • Kodiak 3 This variant created by Clan Snow Raven in the mid-3060s turns the Kodiak into an anti-aircraft platform. Removing all but four of the arm-mounted medium lasers and reducing the number of heat sinks to fourteen freed up room for a pair of LB-X Autocannon/20s, three tons of ammo each, and an advanced targeting computer.[3][9] BV (1.0) = 2,178[10], BV (2.0) = 2,615[11]

  • That's 2 ballistics and 4 energy. Not to mention the canon depictions of the Kodiak all have the ballistic hardpoint below cockpit level, not the monstrous 4 ballistic above cockpit thing the KDK-3 in MWO have going on.

Bear in mind no one at PGI has ever read any source material, quoting Battletech lore near PGI is simmilar to smacking your head into a wall repeatedly, although the wall thing is a lot less painful than the last few years of watching Russ and Paul slowly killing off the player base .....

And remember kids , buy a mech pack .......

I agree with Vapor. The only consistent thing seems to be the new mechs up for sale kick *** until the next wave comes out at which time PGI feels like a nerf pass is needed and the whole thing starts over. It has taken the fun out of this game for sure.

what has me pissed off is the fact that Paul and Russ have some idiotic belief that the Inner Sphere mechs must be equal to the Clan mechs, which is sickening. If you know your Battle Tech well, you know that Clan tech is as CLOSE to Star League tech as you can get w/out actually HAVING Star League tech. Clan tech is MEANT to be SUPERIOR to IS tech. Its that effing simple. I hate, absolutely HATE the fact that the IS mechs have quirks they do not have in canon and lore. Why do they need 50% extra structure and armor? They dont. As a Clan player, I would LOVE to wade 12 Clan Mechs into an IS team of 24. At least then, it would be true to what Battle Tech really is. I would by the way ONLY accept such odds IF and ONLY IF things were set back to proper values as quoted in every tech manual out there. .

Right... that's why highlander and orion IICs were so meta when they came out. Or why the Vindicator was never anything else but awesome since it was released.

Look guys... new toys are largely untested and can therefore be OP or a flop, that's why they later get nerfs or buffs, you know, when some actual playtesting has been done by all of us. If you cannot wrap your head around this, stop spending money on new shinies and wait until the shine wore off and things settled down.

On a more upbeat note: the guy in charge of quirking needs to be fired, out of a cannon, into the sun. He, whoever he(or she) might be, has this incredibly sensitive tool, capable of minute changes to balance out so many unfair mechanics and statistics but all he does is jank it from the NONE setting all the way to GODLIKE and then back again for no good reason other than validating his continued employment "for balancing reasons".
Seriously, get a monkey to do it. Random chance cannot be less effective at this point. Or better yet, wipe all quirks and start new from scratch, with the monkey, not the other guy.

They didn't fix a bug, they created one (or just brought one to light)

DakkaBear always had Ghost Heat
All 1.44 heat worth

They multiplied that 15 times over
21.6 heat

This also causes the same-gun Double Tap to F your heat up
cUAC20 does not have the same gun double tap Ghost Heat issue

I love it.

Every time someone gets mad and says "I'm out" this already tiny community is happy to troll them and wave good-bye to another player, thus making their queue times and FP drops that much longer.

Genius move community.

Everytime anything changes in this game, someone will throw a tantrum and the community will take sides agreeing/disagreeing with the OP.

I've had my fair share of squabbles with PGI and am far from being their fan, but this OP is just... pathetic.

A wall of text with a couple of insults thrown in for good measure, because a 20t and a 100t 'Mechs were nerfed? What do you expect "the community" to respond to this thread, to prevent any more player loss?

It's a case of the straw that broke the camels back.. it's an accumulation of bad decisions that made him rage.. not just this one. You can feel his frustration and it speaks to many of us, including myself. My last straw was when they annihilated my IS lights with the resize/movement nerf.. i decided to stop supporting the game financially after that brilliant decision.
