It's time we add the Hellhound to the store.

Unlike with other Mech suggestions, which more or less is just some sort of alternative of the current lineups, this mech is unique in filling in a gap that's been missing in the Clan lineup, namely, a medium ECM ballistic/mixer.

Even with the imminent release of the Huntsman, there's still no Clan mech that can be said to be the true opposite of Griffins. With the sweet Hellhound design, we can finally get a mech that's ECM, JJ-capable, 90 kph +, and an impressive array of heavy Clan ballistics.

Also, the MW4 design just kicks so much behind. It's about time we get a really super duper cool mech since the EBJ. (Cause everything else is sucky and ugly) Let's bring some panache back into our mechs. Time to retire the ugly hunchback IICs.

Hellhound, it's the only logical choice.

Nope. And according to my research of a 2012 topic, more people like the MW4 design anyhow. Let's face it. A lot of the "canon" designs are sucky ripoffs that has the imagination of what a 5 year old would think of a robot.

I just want a non-Jesus box version of the ECM. ECM really shouldn't be this big of a deal, being only 1/1.5 ton of weight.

Wasn't the Hellhound basically Wolverine IIC, just called differently due to silly clan-related reasons?

Where were you when I pushed for the Mad Cat MK II and the MW4 Hellhound? Obviously both fill "holes", but more importantly if PGI did add it, will you buy it? Or is this another we need this mech in MWO, but I'm not planing to spend money on it thread?

Yup pretty much but MW4 did the mech a solid by not making it humanoid ****!

I'm fine with the MW4 Hellhound being added as a separate 'mech, but it is in no way a Wolverine IIC like the original. Why can't we have both?

ECM? Couldn't find any mention of that on Sarna.

MW4 Hellhound was ECM capable. OP was probably referring to that. Then again, there were a lot of mechs in MW4 that were ECM capable, compared to MWO version.

Don't doubt my resolve. I pre-ordered both Marauder IIC and Bushwacker. (And I voiced my opinion for Bushwacker HARD, everytime there's a "what do you want to see in the next" thread) I am not afraid to skip a few McDonalds whenever I want to get something I like.

(PS. Pretty sure I supported "let's have this mech" thread whenever a mech I like showed up. Then again, I don't check forum religiously, so maybe I missed it)

Ah, I see. I guess it doesn't matter anyway. PGI is inventing 20 new variants per year, it seems.

Hellhound from MW4 can take it up the butt for all I care. It's just Microsoft giving so little of a damn that they wouldn't even google for all of five minutes if a mech called "Hellhound" already existed. If it'd been named something else, I wouldn't care, but ever since, uninvested mechwarrior tourists have been trying to overwrite the original's existence.

I'd be all for the TRO 3055 Hellhound.
MW4 everything needs to die, be dragged out into a desert, and then be used for atomic weapon target practice.

Just checking dude. Can't be adding mechs people won't buy if you get me.

So just because it's from MW4 and "microsoft designed it", it shouldn't be in the game at all?
Personally I think the Conjurer (the IS name is Hellhound, stop naming it correctly Posted Image ) should keep it's old design. Maybe not the boxy line drawing version, but the one you posted above is nice, as well as the updated artwork from 3055 upgrade.
With that said, PGI should create a new (possibly omni) mech that uses the MW4 design. The design is too good to be thrown away imo

The Argus, Uziel, Chimera, Thanatos, and even the Nobody's-ever-going-to-shut-up-about-that-cashgrab Madcat Mk.II were all in Mechwarrior 4, and all got ported into the Battletech franchise. None of which ever tried to over-write an existing mech.

The M$ Hellhound tried to overwrite the classic Fasa Hellhound.

I don't know about you, but when clix was doing the same crap to all the standbys that I grew up with like the Firestarter, Black Hawk, Koshi, Spider, and Panther, I didn't react well to that, either.

Still doesn't mean the design should just be thrown away.
I wish Catalyst would have made the design canon for a different/new mech.
I don't like the idea of replacing the old conjurer design, but the MW4 design is just infinitely more interesting to me, it would be a total shame to see it just disappear.
