Being from sweden my ping averages at about 150ms. This is still the same since the last patch, but now once about every 30 seconds all other mechs stops for about 10 seconds.

I can still walk around, and after 10 seconds everything that should have happend, happens real fast around me. Often me ending up already being dead.

Anyone else have this problem?

First off Thanks PGI for taking on the huge task of MWO it's been over 10 years without any mech games I appreciate it, I do admit I have grown frustrated from time to time with the process but the I remember this is BETA and we should remember that and as for addressing the lag and fps issues if others would check out the command chair and read the notes they would find answers to their questions. But I digress once again thank you!

The sound is stuttering and popping a hell of a lot more this patch.
Just crashed when firing PPC at a cataphracts legs, and i had 2 kills that game. COOL.

Lost about 10 fps with this patch, and lost about 10 fps with the patch before this one, 2 patches ago would ~45 fps now ~25 fps.

The gain from going from max settings to the current one was only ~15 fps, so putting everything to low would probably only net me ~5 more fps.

My personal performance dropped through the floor because of fps issues. My Frames/second fell from 30-40 in match to 15-19 when standing still and 9-14 when moving. When near other mechs, it gets worse.

When I load into the match, when I begin to move and when I am near other mechs.
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
My Advanced setings were all at low except effects and AA (effects was at medium and AA at PostAA). I was using 1280x720 windowed and v-sync was off with motionblur was at low.

yeahh there is noting in the command chair that fix that problem. A Fanboy post at is off topic and has no meaning.

I think that title says it all. Nice patch, but I'd really like those maps to be optimized. Likely won't play until they are.

A: Nothing changed performance wise. Performance with 1.1.155 is approx the same as with 1.0.5.0 patch. Avg fps is still the same. Minimum fps has grown from 0 to 6. Max fps is lowered.

The game runs relatively fluid when I'm not touching my keyboard or mouse and there is no other mechs around and when my mech is not moving. But when I press a key or move the mouse or the mech the stuttering begins. Same goes when there are more mechs on screen. Stuttering is heavier with enemy mechs. This wasn't an issue before the 1.0.5.0 patch.

With patch 1.1.155 sound is constantly popping and cracking. This was absent from 1.0.5.0 patch.

Q: What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
A: I'm using 1024x768.
Everything set to low. AA off, v-synch off, blur off.

Q: Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
A: Stayed the same in menus: FPS @60

FPS gathered with FRAPS. All games started fresh from desktop so I cannot say where the fps goes if I play longer. In game at the countdown the fps stays at 30-40. When the match begins it drops to 25-30. And when mowing towards action fps is at 15-20. In action fps drops to 0-7. When stationary, fps goes up to 20-30. Stuttering is constant with this new 1.1.155 patch (read above).

In-game (v. 1.0.5.0):
MWOClient (Frozen City, 1024x768 all settings low)
Frames: 1407 - Time: 79233ms - Avg: 17.758 - Min: 0 - Max: 55
(stuttering constantly)

In-game (v. 1.1.155)
2012-11-28 00:06:51 - MWOClient (Caustic Valley 1024x768 all settings low)
Frames: 3562 - Time: 180759ms - Avg: 19.706 - Min: 7 - Max: 35
(stuttering constantly)

In-game (v. 1.1.155)
2012-11-28 00:01:52 - MWOClient Frozen Zity (1600x1024) all settings max
Frames: 1913 - Time: 115237ms - Avg: 16.601 - Min: 6 - Max: 41
(stuttering constantly) Changing settings from low to max and resolution from 1024x768 to 1600x1024 lowers average fps only by 3 frames. Stuttering stays the same.

Last week there was a small patch (1.0.5.0) correcting terrain streaming. It helped only a small bit only when you are stationary and looking towards the ground. Otherwise fps has stayed the same.

Before the 1.0.5.0 and this new patch I could run MWO in 1600x1024 resolution with Low details with following fps:
MWOClient Forest Colony Snow (1600x1024)
Frames: 13414 - Time: 419174ms - Avg: 32.001 - Min: 13 - Max: 72
No stuttering. Fps drops were absent while moving the mech or rotating torso or near other mechs.

Q: System specs
I can run for example Cryengine3 SDK, Crysis 1&2, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 and latest Assassin Creed III with my rig without problems.

In days gone by my machine used to run this game at 35fps minimum. Over the course of several patches the avarage framerate has only dropped. The last patch has since pushed it down to 20-25fps versus 25-30 pre-patch. I have not bothered to turn down the settings from maximum, apart from turning off the motion blur because of personal preference.

I realise that this is a ~1,5 year old rig, so running it at maximum may or may not be something that should be done with it, but the consistent drop in performance is quite distressing. I, for one, was hoping for performance increases as the game was patched/optimised. Is there something that I'm massively missing/doing epicly wrong? Because I can't explain it.

I get more fps on all maps except "Frost Colony" and "Caustic Valley" (around 18-23fps). Yet overall performance is still bad. In order to get to 30fps and a somewhat enjoyable experience, I have to play on all medium setting with AA off. "Frost Colony" and "Caustic Valley" are the exceptions. These maps run poorly no matter the settings. Before last weeks patch (Cataphract patch), i could run the game on all high settings, AA on and got a nice and steady 50FPS on all maps.

I would rather have "pong" grafix & playability than everything looking beautiful at 4 fps. I would think the prudent business man would try to make the product usable prior to adding the fluff...Fail

No change for me performanse wise from the last patch. Game still borderline playable except on Forest Colony which is unplayable. I read that they are working on it and will be most happy to see optimization soon.

5 FPS drop/ per patch last 3 patches – performance is still dropping to 4-5 fps some times during battle

Did i clean reinstall and havent used any custom user.cfg yet.

The weird difference in FPS stability between spectating and playing is still there.

Why does spectating another player give much more smooth fps w/o sudden spikes of +/-30?
The spiking is still there, but in a much more acceptable +/-10 range.

Same for standing around still giving 40-50 FPS, while the slightest action of movement causes horrible FPS drops.

If it wasn´t for those 2 weird issues, i´d be having a much more great time playing.

Graphical performance wise, I encountered a raise in FPS with the latest beta Nvidia Driver on my 560 Ti.

However, since the addition of BBetty, sound became sketchy , sometime droping, is their a way increase the max channel ?

Seems like every patch from the last 2 on, my FPS seem to drop slightly... having strange numbers from lowest 25 to mostly 50-60

it seems that on either forest colony there are fps drop within the caves for no specific reason

didn´t change anything at all:

1920x1080
everything on very high
experimented with dropping shadows from very high to low, turned v-sync on and off and so on... nothing really changed when it comes to FPS

Ingame: 25 lowest, 60 highest.... while having mostly an average of 45 to 60 FPS

That's just not true at all. I run the game on a single-core system. It's not great by any stretch of the imagination (I average 12-20 FPS), but it was playable on all maps except Forest Colony. Since the last patch on the 20th, both Forest Colony and Forest Colony Snow have dropped to single-digit framerates. The game can be run on minimum spec computers. The problem I have is that they have a very serious issue affecting many, many players. It's not just min spec machines having issues, it's all across the board. They are adding content and not showing any progress on this. I know it takes time, but it's a little in bad taste to add content that cost money while not providing any progress on performance issues.

Game is now unplayable on my computer. Before today I had fps of about 60 FPS. Now I have no more than 11.3 FPS and cant even begin to play Geeze...

Well, before this patch i had 35-69 fps.
now i have 10-60 fps

overall the game is now UNPLAYABLE FOR ME. so i wont be playing till this is fixed.
every patch is a joke when it comes to performance. please start to work on this.
