The hilarious TT vs MW4 players thread got my ego all revved up (http://mwomercs.com/...mw4-generation/), so I figured I'd roll out one the favourite pass times of league vets... a "best ever" thread. Who do you think were the best players from the MW4 era?

TO CLARIFY: This is based on your opinions of the MW4 era, I'm not asking who is the best right now (it should be obvious why)

I think Crovax's list from another "best ever" thread over at NBT about 3 years ago was a fairly robust list: My personal additions to Crovax's list: Thoughts?

EDIT: Sorry to anyone I may have missed, it has been YEARS.

I don't think I recognize even one of those from my time in NBT. Maybe they're from a later era than when I used to play?

Also, that's such a long list it'd probably include half the community.

It's not NBT-exclusive. A fair number of the names are people I haven't personally winged with but I trust Cro's judgement.

What about the players that play the mektek mw4 free release? There is a community there you know.

I said it's from the MW4 era, so feel free to add any names you feel were some of the best you came across, regardless of league.

I think Crovax's list from another "best ever" thread over at NBT about 3 years ago was a fairly robust list:
  • Crovax
  • Leo Showers
  • Ace Flashheart
  • Buddylove
  • No7
  • GaussDragon
  • Edge
  • Xian
  • Heero (Not this forum troll here obviously, 317th_Heero from VL)
  • Neothor
  • Ninja
  • DankCloud
  • Ramzi
  • Talcon
  • Cascade
  • Grima
  • Ringwraith
  • Image
  • Notorious BMC
  • Dilandau
  • SpecTre
  • Matty
  • FoeHammer
  • Baal
  • Manthus X
  • SmugGy
  • Ethari
  • Warbird
  • Skippy
  • Hayabusa
  • KD_Destro
  • PurpleHaze
  • Karn (Karnage)
  • Mimic
  • Detonator
  • i0n
  • Chixnhawk + the whole KaoS team
  • Infi
To the list I'd probably add the following players
  • Siku
  • Virus
  • MAC/Coinneach
  • Sancho
  • Beauge
  • Stealth
  • Derag
  • Spin_Cold
  • Tsunami Angel/Ragnarok
  • DD
  • Ketchup
  • Disturbed
  • Maelstrom
  • BuSH
  • Ice-Ninja
  • DruidKing
  • RubberDucky
Thoughts?

EDIT: Sorry to anyone I may have missed, it has been YEARS.

Yeah you named almost my whole guild except me lol, my feelings are hurt.
Of couse back then, you had to have alternate pilot names, so people didnt know who you were, just to get games. I also went under the callsigns...
KE_Badtat,
Badolpuddytat,
xX420Xx

I think your list has alot of good players that I remember. I would add...

Top
Warfare
Spydeur
Crazed
IronTyger
Grima

Thats because most of those guys are MW3- early MW4 vets that left the game along time ago.

Some good names on the list. Some, I question.

When it comes to FFP NR, my list is different from 3rd person respawn.

Best 3rd person respawn players that I knew were Edge and RingWraith.

Best FFP-NR by reputation is {HRR}Fury (I only encountered him a few times, so I can't judge too well)

I still say that Lancer/PrayForMojo was one of the best players out there, as he is one of the most natural gamers I've ever come across. But others include Glory (TaintedGlory), Wejam, Tyrant, Kuma, and AK Stalker. These are the players that I had the toughest time matching up against either in the mech or tactically.

They were still around in 2004 and some even into 2005 and beyond. Also, Grima was already on the list (It's long, I know haha).

The list is irrelevant, since this isn't MW4, its MWOnline.

If some guy was good at spamming PPC fire in his novacat, moving, and legging then i guess that earns a spot on the ladder.

Very true.

Having played with Edge, I tend to agree. He managed to top the scoreboard in half the games we played regardless of the size of the mech he was piloting. I never played with Ring as far as I know but we obviously had a lot of homies in common.

This is an exercise in nostalgia, it's not supposed to be reflective of the present (how could it be).... though I'd love to see all those names come back and run show again.

I have nothing but awesome memories on all the MW incarnations. That wouldnt of been possible if it wasnt for alot of names on your list. MW nostalgia threads rule.

These threads are always good nostalgia, makes you think back on past challenges, brings to memory matches mostly forgotten. So long ago.
