January 4th, 3050

New ECM technology has been distributed across the League for FWLM mechwarriors. A major set back has been found on some worlds with the new Guardian ECM system. Those worlds atmospheric conditions magnify the ECM ten fold and block inter unit communications. "Garret Satcom, makers of guardian ECM, has stated "It's working as intended." The Ryerson District command responded with "My boots are working as intended. They might work right up Lauber's backside if they don't fix it."

January 9th, 3050

A virus was released into Atreus satellite system from there it has hoped onto several jumpships and spread throughout the League. At first, the nature of the virus was unknown until during some live fire drills on Marik and Regulas. Several trainees had their missiles fly right back at them, killing two on Marik. SAFE is currently evaluating the origin and counter measures. Systems with many satellites are heavily affected and use of the new streak technology is limited on those worlds.

January 21st, 3050

Atreus City - Multiple shots rang out along the central boulevard in Atreus City followed by explosions just moments ago. The Captain-General was involved in a parade supporting the troops and seemed to be the focus of the assault. All civilians have been rushed out of the area with no confirmation of the parties involved in the attack. Unknown battlemechs have been seen at the......... *transmission ended*

Context
The purpose of this campaign is to create a more engaging environment for everyone involved. A fun semi-light hearted romp until community warfare. It is a way to re-interest people that have stepped away from the game due to repetitiveness, aggravation, or it being boring. The limitations/restrictions are there to create a variance in play to break up monotony and create a little chaos on the battlefield. In the end this is trying to be something different.

Aaand a friendly *bump*.
Can't believe this was posted almost a week ago and only like 3 people responded so far.

Very nice idea, except the conquest mode - but I really like the rest! :)

Thanks. We've been finalizing details. One of the main reasons for conquest was to make sure people had an easier job of syncing up against each other. Though it also creates a little extra chaos on the battlefield but not to much.

For all those interested, most details will be finalized on the morrow and then we'll have official registration. If we get enough units we can either increase the districts on the map or have a separate one. Thanks everyone who PM'd me about their thoughts and their support.

You can up the success rate by almost 100 % if you work with a third team of 8 which clears the queue just before the two "real" teams click at launch. This works like a charm!

Well Kaos I can tell you it doesn't exactly work 100% of the time and that by selecting Conquest you greatly increase the odds of success.

I like it, although 600 tons seems like a pretty high limit. It pretty much guarantees a bunch of 4 Atlas, 1 Stalker, and 3 Raven/Jenner teams. It's great for a match, but maybe have a round with more middling tonnage limit like 520?

The idea of that 3rd and 5th match is suppose to be a bunch of big boys fighting. The 1st match should be 425 and lots of lights where the 2nd match and 4th match are 475 for more of a middling match.

It reflects the scouts going in then the mediums then finally the assault mechs fighting it out.
