As you may have noticed, rudimentary AI constructs have started to encroach from beyond the Periphery. To help quell the trickle of poorly written and confusing attempts at communication from these misguided and long-since obsolete constructs, we are making a small adjustment to the requirements for posting in the New Player sub-forum.

In order tounlock posting access in the New Player sub-forum you must first play at least 1 match of MechWarrior Online.


Upon the creation of an account, new players will be assigned the rank of 'Fresh Recruit'. Fresh Recruits are limited to read-only forum access; they cannot yet post in the New Player sub-forum. Once a Fresh Recruit has played their first match, they will adopt the standard Recruit rank and will be able to post in the New Player sub-forum.

To account for the single match required to progress from Fresh Recruit to Recruit, the number of matches required as a standard Recruit before unlocking full forum privileges has been reduced from 25 matches to 24 matches.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for brand new players who may want to post here while they install the client, or before they have a chance to run their first match.

when i first started I could not get the game to down load so I could not play
I was lucky and they did not have these requirements and was able to get help and play this game

I often wonder how many people just moved on when they ran into problems

The Support section is also open for new accounts. The lockout is to combat spam and smurf accounts.

OP, all you need to do is play 25 total matches, then you can post anywhere on the forum.

ive been playing for 2 years and cant post in any other spot on the form, how do you get around this?

The account you posted on shows was just created today and light blue, meaning the email address tied to this account has not played enough games.

Probably need to finish 25 games, graduate from your Cadet Bonus achievement accolades.

Your name doesn't pop on any leaderboards, so you haven't played at least 10 games per season with that account. You need to play at least 24 matches with your account to be able to post on the general areas of the forums.
