This game hasn't got any better. Small groups should not be thrown against full pre-made teams. There is no middle ground for casual 2-3 man teams.

Favorite setup... Left hand, old MS Sidewinder joystick for the legs and throttle + some weapons. Right hand, mouse for aiming and such. Makes it east for finer mech meyhem >:}
