Checking if somebody else have problem with the same issue before troubling tech support.

I am usually having a ping of around 80-90ms.
Since patch before last one it moved to 120-160ms, and became unstable more often than not, sometimes moving to 190-200ms.

And on top of that, my aiming is completely off. When i am shooting, i see that i am hitting where i am aiming, while my teammates which are spectating say that i am missing completely and that my reticule is apsolutely off target.
It feels like shooting a rifle with sights calibrated badly.

It also results in lower damage output just like i am indeed missing my target a lot, despite fact that hits are registered and i see that i am hitting what i am shooting at.

lagshield is back again and in nearly full force.... 120 kp/h trebuchet, couldn´t hit him, had to hit air to get him :P

and only 1/3 of applied laser time registered. it´s borked again.

Not my experience at all. I've been happily popping fast-moving lights with ballistics and PPCs. Not always, leading + convergence, and the damned little buggers not moving in straight lines, mean I still miss, but it was really just pure luck to hit at all not that long ago.

Dont worry you are not the only one having this twitcy aim problem, and as far as I can gather it dosnt seem to be just ping related as people of all ping levels and unusualy different ping levels are getting it.

Done, killed two Ravens in under 30 seconds w/ 3ML 1AC/10 (Founders Hunch). First was a side torso kill, second was an AC/10 to an orange internal backside (that I had put there).

Avg ping: 67ms. 1/10th of an inch leading.

It doesn't seem to do anything to damage that is incoming to my mech, just messing with my movement and ability to dish out damage, and more importantly to apply damage where i want to apply it on enemy.

I am a light mech (jenner, no 3l for me) pilot for long time and this really messes my mechs usefulness. Primarily not because higher but because unstable ping and secondary because mech doesnt carry great firepower so precise strikes are a must.

there is some resurgenceof the old lag problem with extra rubberbanding but i'm sure the devs are well awear of it and we'll get some optimisation back in the next patch or so. they fixed it once so they can do it again.

I myself run with a ping of 30-50 and dont really have to lag lead that much , if at all. But I have noticed people with 100+ ping more and more lately , and noticed nearly everyone now running with streaks at the same time I decided to level Jenners . Going to take a break from this game for awhile , maybe some issues with be resolved in a week or two. I normally run a 4sp hunch back and a catapract (all save the muromelts and the 4x) and wanted something fun, then SSRMs SSRMS and session lost everywhere.

That's because the lag shield fix that went in, made it so the lag is only affected by your own ping. Not other peoples. So with those pings you can pretty much always correctly hit people with 250 ping, but on their screen the server might not be getting them updates fast enough, so it is you who lags on their screen.

300 ms, still have lag shield, though not as bad as before. Still annoying though. Can't really reliably aim for a specific part due to the displacement.

Well, I've always resigned myself to play MWO with a disadvantage due to latency. ;)

Watch for when your aiming recticle goes red.

Thats when the server is registering a hit. At least, thats how it is supposed to work.

I've had times where Im aiming at a mech just over a ridge, on my screen my lasers are hitting the ridge not the mech, yet the aimer goes red......

Sooooooo, im not 100% sure what is going on there but I would say my view was a few seconds behind, and to the server my laser actually fired OVER the ridge, not into it...

State-rewind should help a lot here if all goes well.
