Has anyone else been caught by this little MC reset/Open Beta scam these guys pulled off?

I sent their support an email asking my my MC hasn't been reset in Beta for 4 months, and I get a response with some links where they claim to have informed us that MC would not longer reset in Beta.

The link shows a long winded article posted on October 26th which says the last reset would occur when Open Beta came around November 13th.

They claim they emailed me. Nothing.

I go to their own News archive for November; it shows the first screen to Nov 25. I hit "Next"... surprise.. it's bugged, how convenient, and jumps to February. I force "page=XXX" into the URL to go to Oct-26 to November 2+ (My account show my MC was last reduced on November 2nd.) No post on their website/news of Open Beta.

The internet then shows they went Open Beta on... October 29? 3 days after they said it would probably be in 18 days? I remember logging in around then and there was nothing on the login page about "no more MC resets".

So they blitzed a trick in there to scam their trusting founders (I bought the biggest one) into not noticing their fine print they obscurely "informed us" about. So anyone playing randomly casually and not being some uber-fanboy checking the website daily had a 3-day login window to even have a chance at noticing their MC wouldn't reset.. after they were used to logging in and having resets on occassion. No login notification of this fact.

Apparently, it's just another fly-by-night screwball company trying to milk us for for money as they have no confidence in their product. Fine bring and mumbo jumbo rip offs. I presume posting this will also get my account locked somehow to further rip me off of my 120$, as they also deny a refund or MC reset.

I thought that the original FASA creator being involved would lend credibility to the venture; I guess not. I liked him until now; and I was 8 years old buying FASA BT products and playing tabletop and MFNA tournaments while also dedicated 15 years of coding to BTech MUX's. So ends an era for me, one I thought was revived with his return.

I think they did announce in the first place (after every single MC reset) that MC will be reset on open beta.

And yes, they did rush open beta earlier, and yes it was their fault if you did not get an EMAIL about this but come on if you didnt notice it NOW that the game has went open beta.

And feels like i've been baited, but this amount of text can't be a joke.

MC was reset when it went from Closed Beta to Open Beta and they sent out notices saying all further and future purchases were permanent.

Yeah, ready for OB or not you were very clearly warned when the last wipe was coming. They plastered it everywhere for months that OB would be the last wipe.

You can argue whether or not that should have been the last wipe but you can't say they didn't warn you.

I'm pretty sure everyone got the memo unless they were living under a rock. It was announced and repeated ad naseum that there would be NO MORE RESETS after OB.

Besides this there were about a million and one threads on the CB forums asking about resets with the correct information posted.

MC came as part of the founders package, you could spend that MC as much as you wanted, because after every reset in Closed Beta (there were a lot), everything you bought with MC was removed and all your MC was refunded.

Refresh to full MC value based on founder's package.

I thought it was abundantly clear as well OP as to when the final reset was. Sorry you missed it but they had it in lots of places.

@everyone else - I don't mind you telling him or showing links to the information he needs but can we drop the venom, really not needed.

In CB they gave everyone MC each week (or 2) to use and reset it after every patch. When the Founder's packs went active they gave us our bought MC + the free MC that was still reset every patch in Closed Beta. They warned us about a million times that going to Open Beta there would be one last reset of the MC. Everyone was left with the MC that came with their founder's pack and that was all.

Yep, and it was his responsibility, as a closed beta tester, to read the CB forums regularly. It was all over there for months.
