Trust me - SHE is.

Oh. Well damn. Well in that case I still don't understand the complaint. I understand not wanting to be on comms with teens, or perhaps anyone up to the age of 24 or so. But once people hit 30, they don't really become drastically more mature or moderated in their social interactions, so I'm not sure why one would want to avoid speaking with other adults based on their age so much.

I doubt he's really 65 or 70. I was just pointing out his claim that he'd be on voice comms with kids half his age is pretty damn unlikely.

I'm 46. One of my teammates on Voice comms is 22-23 years old. :D
You forget the age range of players in this genre. ;)

Must be nice having a choice.

What are you, 70 years old? The vast majority of people on Comstar and other servers seem to be around 30+.

According to that you are right, not the half is half my age, but a lot of them can be peccadillo (? dont know if its the right word for jugendsünden) of me.

Indeed it would be nice to have the choice... pug game or team game... currently there is only the choice of PUG and team PUG.

And as you oviousely agree, that is not a good choice to have.

Come on guys, fight your animosities in a mech... get into a match, challenge each other and fight. Ahh well, wont work, there is no lobby... darn. Well, I guess you both will have to keep fighting on the forums instead....

Yes, we can't. Will never be able to with ELO.

I'm 34, on the lower end of the teamspeak crowd really.

How about no, is no good for you? I don't really even have to argue with you, absolutely no one in either thread has agreed with anything you've said. You don't even realize how rediculous you sound when argue that 50/50 WL is unfair or that unskilled players should both lose more often than skilled players AND they should receive less rewards. You've also repeated that casuals and PUGs should simply leave the game if they don't want to team. Your views are nonsensical and downright dangerous to the continued health of MWO.

You keep twisting what I have said and keep making it personal. You are not making your point any stronger doing that.

Teams can play teams only, for the most part they choose not to. Pug can not play Pugs only, there is the main gripe. Pugs can live without teams but I am not sure if the converse is true. Maybe CW will solve some of this but probably not.

Apart from that not all teams always have 8 people or the chance to fill their team with random people to be 8. Sometimes you want to drop with say 6 friends but you can not. Don't blame sync-droppers for wanting to play casually with friends, they aren't that different from you. As been said countless times, separate queues for people in groups of 2-7 and solo players would have solved a lot of problems.

Well, after 8 pages I have to add that - if you read it through - every rant post against team players is really a statement for asap lobby inclusion, since the main complaint is always the same:

Teams farm pugs!

And since teams really dont have an other choice 90% of the time, when you cannot get 8 players together or are simply unable to find a match on the 8v8 queue, a lobby would solve this problem.

I like the idea of a private lobby, but does everyone understand what they are asking for? I'm pretty sure I saw the devs state that private matches would be unranked only. In any case, I'd be surprised if we see anything like a lobby in the next three months (prediction based on past development times).

A more near term fix would be to increase the accuracy of ELO prediction to a point where the 4 man cap could be removed. This would require weight matching to work more often than it does right now and at least an attempt to stack an equal number of grouped players on either side. I think it would be possible to have fair matches, but I'm not sure we currently have enough players in the pool at any given time to make this work well.

Yep, you have some point there, besides that your measures would again do nothing for the team players or against the pustomp tale.

But given the speed, many of the organized teams fall apart right now, in 3 month's from now, there will be around 1000 - 1500 players less playing this game, buying stuff and giving feedback.

( not to mention that at least 2/3 of the mentioned players have spent money on this thing and would continue to do so if this thing would not be absolutely pointless and more and more boring)
