I'll edit this thread and add new content as I finish it, each picture will be in it's own area wether it be mech, battlescene, mechwarrior, ect ect.
As time goes on this thread is going to grow and grow and be updated. Comments are always welcome. =)
Current Projects:
Marik Monday Madness Poster
SaupB**** poster (WIP down below)
20 mechwarrior avatars
Grasshopper mech (I won't show this until it's cherry)
Mech Pilot -
Now the mechwarrior pilots I've always found captivating what's not to like about a mechwarrior jock?
B-tech is a bit dated and so I've bend my pen to both up the style as well as the practicality of the mechwarrior suit. Namely the Cooling vest and shorts. Now simply having a cooling vest is wasting a lot of cooling potential, as most people know the quickest way to cool someone is to cool under the armpits and the groin area. To reflect this i've added coolant tubes that run along those areas to help regulate the heat.
The Mechwarrior suit itself would have clips that would allow a mechwarrior to essentially strap themselves in by clicking up the buckles into the chair itself, this would also connect the coolant tubes so they can be cycled.
Additional i've never been a fan of the mechwarrior "Chair" as having driven big rig semi's and heavy machinery, sometimes it doesn't matter how good your suspension is your going to get rocked and as someone who's driven a logging equipment up and down steep inclines the sitting position is not conducive to keeping one's balance.
So much so that i've altered the chart to be more of a saddle allowing the mechwarrrior to "sit" but allows them to sort of 1/2 stand to provide a better sense of balance.
The clips themselves that they strap in with and carry the coolant would work a bit like modern day seat belts giving the mech warrior some play and mobility to physically look and move around in the cockpit, weather it be to gain a perspective looking out of the cockpit or to utilize a pose to help the mech maintain it's balance. (I.E. leaning forward when going up steep inclines or to counter kinetic impacts.)
But any serious impact or jarring would lock them up and in some cases retract to pull the mech warrior into a sufficiently neutral position so they don't get tossed around.
I explain this so that if i'm preforming this heresy on the b-tech universe at least it's informed heresy. =)

I hope they get around to it eventually. The Dragon is good but I think we would really benefit from a 60 mech built for weapons over speed. Though the Lostech version was quite speedy. I just like the idea of a energy boat.

i suppose there is a tiny bit, though are you sure you are not confusing that with her rib cage / muscles? It's a weird angle and the boobs are much higher up and almost not visible.
If you look at the bottom finished picture the boobs are above the strap for the cooling vest

I am starting a new project today, once I finish that I may come back to the Javelin here and adjust some things as well as map it and of course do some IK bones, but here is the basic model.
I did a quick pose but without the IK bones which is another good reason you should use bones.

cool take on the Jav. Might be the first mech Light that is easy to shoot in the face though!

Yeah, I was thinking about adjusting it down.
Though the Vindicator Hood may be the wrong approach for the Javelin. I like it initially on concept design, but in 3d it doesn't give the same "Feel" to it. So I might come back to adjust it.

tough choice. The stock TRO Javelin head is just garbage. But between the new head and missile arrangements, it does divorce itself a bit from the Javelin.

Rather than constantly update that thread i'll just throw updates here as I get closer to completion and then once it's all done just go back and put the finished work in the PYM thread
Though I do think I'll have to go and render the dropship in 3dsmax to get the right perspective and such.
Idea here
Here is the line drawing
And here is a Hi-Rez of just the girl.
Updates as they come
