This is what MWO needs.

The jumpjet 2.0.

And in an attempt to make a joke thread serious... ;)

The IS version of the UAC/2 isn't available until 3058 (7 tons, 3 criticals, effective range of 750 meters), while the Clan version (5 tons, 2 criticals, effective range of 810 meters) is available to them at the time of the Invasion.

Given how the UAC/5 was implemented and how it works by comparison to the standard AC/5, it stands to reason that the UAC/2 could be expected to recycle slightly faster than the standard AC/2, while also having both the double-fire mechanic and the jamming mechanic (25% chance of jam, IIRC).
The same, IMO, could likely be said of the UAC/10 vs AC/10 and UAC/20 vs AC/20, as well.

Your thoughts?

Makes sense.

Eventually we'll have all the UAC's, LBX's, and RAC's in game. Patience!

What they need to do to the Ultra AC/5's (and subsequent Clan Ultra autocannons) is reduce their failure rate considerably, but make the weapon recoil - ie, make the second shot shoot a little higher than the first. Open the group up a little bit, with larger caliber cannons like the UAC/10 and 20 having much more deviation in their shot groups.

Dual UAC/20 :P

80 (pinpoint) damage in less than a second (if they work like the UAC/5 does).

The mere thought of that scares me

Mechs exploding EVERYWHERE and the Boomcat looms over them all.

There were Rotary 2 and 5 IIRC.

I don't think there were Rotary AC's in 10 or 20 ratings.

Because I like the LBX20. I like (2) LBX10s also and would like the same effect and have it not weigh 22tons.

Thanks for asking.

If the AC/2 is already delayed by the server-side confirmation when shooting, it will be worse for the UAC/2 and RAC/2. :P

Because nothing says Duck Hunt like a Twin LBX/20 to a Ravens face.

And that's pretty much the ONLY thing you're going to be able to kill with an LBX. Why not just pack the equivalent AC and do more pinpoint damage? Twin AC/20 to the face/anywhere will ALSO kill a Raven dead, while also being of use against heavies and assaults.
