I'm still doubting that those are missile points...

But there is the possibility that the arms are like the 2B arms... and mount 2 lasers behind a single lens.

That would make this a SIX energy (and maybe 2 missile) mech.

Doubt it would have ECM. That appearing on a hero mech would melt the forum servers down.

LOL thats true

Well, the one I can think of is that we may see an increase in numbers of medium mechs on the field which is good.

Second point is how many modules it has? If new modules are coming out that may reduce the effectiveness of ECM than this may be an important aspect to consider as well.

As a Jenner pilot this may get my interest - depending on maximum engine size.

Cheers all!
Eboli.

It would be good, but you can't make a major meta-changer paid only.

Nah, it won't be overpowerd. Even if it eats ravens for breakfast, it won't do squat to a good hunchback.

I doubt it will have ECM therefore it's more useless than the 3M.

Looks like 4 energy(am guessing symmetry and a 4th laser in the left arm) and a pair of SRM2 or Streak 2.
That COULD be enough to make it interesting, but still sounds like a non jump capable Jenner to me.

Looks like 5 energy. 1 in right arm, 1 in left and right torso, 2 in center, and 2 missile hard points in each torso. If no ECM and no jump jets then i just don't see it being worth a $ drop.

Pretty much this, not worth it to me if it is all laser considering we already have a 6 laser one... if ima drop some money on this i want a new cicada "playstyle".

in fullsize you can see that the "headlights" are misslebay hatches... the green light at the launcher is most likely a guiding sensor, so i guess artemis or ssrm2 launchers

WOO CICADA HERO MECH!

This one is the first no-brainer hero mech for me. So stoked. But it'll be out of order in my mech list and that doesn't sit well with my OCD-like tendencies... :/

We don't need another hero.
We just need to find a way home.

I kind of don't get the paintjob. I think we need a better quality image on the front page. ^_^

Only because none of the hero mechs have been the best variant for their respective mech so far. If a hero mech ends up having the optimal hardpoint configuration those p2w chants will be back in force.

You bet and I will be certainly chime in. I my opinion, there should be a CBill base variant for every hero mech with the exact same hardpoints. Screw paint job, CBill bonus and actual loadout. They don't need to come with double heat sinks or XL-engines either, but each hero mech needs a very, very close equivalent from the CBill world.

So far hero mechs have not been worth crying about. But sooner or later players will feel cheated out of the hero type variants.

They're fog lamps for the up-coming Alpine Blizzard Night …

the Ilya Muromets is the best cataphract in many ways the only reason it is not an issue is because ALL the cataphracts are such good mechs no one seems to care.

Cicada's are only 5 tons more than the Raven, and require a larger engine to achieve the same speeds. Plus the extra armor to make up for having a larger target profile, and I assume they have slightly worse handling being a Meduim Mech . Even with ECM I don't see this becoming the Raven-3L Killer people are assuming it will be.

ijust hope the picture is a concept and not the final paintjob... but on the other hand, changable colors for heroes will appear nearly together with the X5 :)
