Founders packages, like a large portion of other F2P game purchases, are not meant to be viewed as paying for what the package contains. It's really nothing more than just a donation bin that gives you some items as a bonus consolation prize.
I'm not saying I agree with that philosophy (because I don't), I'm just saying that that's how F2P games operate these days.

What would you do? Would you support the program, or not? Discuss!
Thanks for taking my idea and running with it. XD
I'd definitely be down for it. I'd shamelessly throw money at it.

The only point in Hero or Founder 'Mechs is that they get bonus C-Bills (and a "special" paint job that we're currently restricted to as the only visual customization). IIRC, Clan Warriors have no use for currency and "personal" customizations are frowned upon.

You're assuming IS pilots won't be piloting salvaged Clan mechs.

Well, I'm pretty sure that Clanners will use some sort of currency if they don't use Cbills (maybe the speculated "honor" points that people propose in Clan threads all the time?).

Then it's not really a "Clan" founder's program, is it?
A second founder's initiative that provides clan mechs, MC and game time? I'm not sure why you'd have to be in the Clans to buy the package. You're over thinking this or taking it way too seriously.

Book it 'cos I'm sold: But I've already spent big MUNNYS so they're really going to have to feed me something good or I may just grind it out. After seeing what happened to my Founders Atlas you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be picky though. I'm not going to be purchasing anything that's gonna get ' out dated ' so to speak.
that last sentence made me feel icky 'cos all IS tech ... is out dated. LOL
(knew I should've got the catapult!)
