3L is not the issue. Streaks are not coded right. They group too close and they have a ful 360 turning radius. you should be able to out manuever streaks if you are fast enough just like lrms (remember past games) but thats not possible right now. How come no one complains about the commando? 3 streaks > 2 streaks in light battle

Commandos have too little armor and better hit registration. If I'm in a light battle of 3L (me) vs 2D, that Commando tends to get cored from 3xML pretty quickly. Ironically, even though they have the smallest body of all lights, I have an easier time hitting them than any other light lol.
And Streaks are definitely capable of doing some seriously screwed up gymnastics that they shouldn't be able to.

I have been 5 on 1 in my atlas against 5 3ls and i one shot all of them in a matter of seconds (2 erppc, guass) granted they had already ran through 5 of my team mates and took damage. It's just when im in my non streak 3L that I get ***** about 50% of the time by a streak commando or a streak 3L. I can survive even a splat cat in my non streak 3L but I literally say forget it when I see a 2d or 3L headed my way. I already know i'm getting cored by streaks... It makes me just want to shut down. My favorite mech to brawl in my non streak 3L is a dragon btw. best brawls ever!

Meh. I was running a Raven with Streaks and going toe to toe with Jenners even before ECM. Not going to quit piloting it just because everyone else likes it now. They use to hate it pre ECM. I'm sure if that Hero Cicada has ECM that a lot of people will jump on that too. People always making a new excuse for hating ravens. ECM is OP.... Lights are Lagshielded.....The hit box is wonky. Good grief. Plenty of Atlas and Stalker pilots with large lasers that know how to handle Ravens and other lights for that matter. Not that I care if they nerf it since I'm also Elite in Commando and almost Elite in Jenner. Heavies and Assault mechs hate Light mechs in general and thus the grief will never... ever.... go away. Hence the billion threads on the topic. I will definitely chuckle when the Clan Light Mechs roll out and start laying waste to everyone. Then they will want to un-Nerf all the IS Light mechs to deal with them. The new whine will be Clan Light Mechs are OP. Rebalance Clan Light Mechs to IS Light mechs. I'm gonna stay in my IS Light Mech anyways although I'm sure everyone will want to jump to the Clan side.
The only thing I will agree with is that I'm not sure that I like how Streaks don't have to relock after firing. This is particularly advantageous if you have ECM. Other than that I find all other complaints unfounded when you have mechs sporting six PPCs that can cut any Light Mech in half and do. Raven or otherwise. Raven is not OP. Streaks might be but the mech isn't. Heh, hope you meet Wispy in his Jenner to prove that point.

Whenever I see one of the other Raven variants, all I can see is a 3L being elited. And then my heart fills with rage, and the hunt begins. Plus, I can outrun slow Ravens in my PB or 9M, and there's hardly a more satisfying experience to be had in this game.

A 3L without streaks is easier to evade, but the streaks aren't the main issue...they are more like the icing on the cake.
We have a player base full of lone wolves, and without the tools to communicate efficiently, matches usually consist of a bunch of random people doing their own thing. Now, you have ECM -- this piece of equipment gives users the power to jam radar and targeting sensors, giving them (a single person) the ability to cripple an entire team's network. ECM mechs can operate alone and be quite effective thanks to those jamming capabilities, and this is cool until you realize the people they are going up against are trying to play the same way without ECM. The majority of encounters favor ECM variants because they are able to cut non-ECM mechs off from the rest of their team, leaving the pilots (lone wolves in particular) with a chat box as their only method for communication.
