Does anyone know of any? I love the little details about mechs, and I really wish we could see more cockpit details in game.

Also, why couldn't you just stow the neurohelmet and sleep in the chair?

Never seen a bed in a f-16, a leopard 2 tank or apache helicopter... for some reasons i guess

I think in the "Decision at Thunderrift" book it's described more along the lines of bungie cording a bag with a tent and a bedroll in it to the back of the Mech. But I've seen warriors sleeping in their command chairs mentioned repeatedly so I'd guess it depends on how likely an attack is as to where you sleep.
The Clan's especially would wait for you to get back in the machine before stomping you... the Inner Sphere not so much *squish*

More like a heli is a big friggin target and in my experience you get 50m away from them and dig a little ditch to sleep in. A mech would be more like a tank though, recline the seat and pass out however you can. Though with a crew of 1 you don't have any sort of firewatch.... hmmm damn it battletech another flawwww whyyyyeeeee

The Locust's cockpit is described as being small, cramped and smelly with a tiny fan at the back to circulate air. It's dominated by the 180d view screen and the stained command chair (the Locust in Thunderrift had celebrated 100 years of service). A second person in the cockpit was basically wedged between the back of the chair and the pod door and had to bend over to not touch the bundles of cables hanging from the low ceiling.
That's a standard command pod, fitted to most Mech's.

Remember a Mech can lie down, sit, roll over and kneel. So it wouldn't necessarily be stood upright whilst the pilot slept and as a Mech doesn't move on its own the usual watches the regular soldiers keep up would cover a firewatch type situation.

As a side note, I do believe that the B2 bomber has folding beds. Never been in one though.
I kinds pictured a mech cockpit (at least for the larger mechs) having a bed somewhat like what semi-trucks have. After all you might be stuck on a hostile planet for a long time.

A bed and or toilet would probably be only found in some high end pimped out assault mechs though, cant imagine that fitting in a medium or light obviously.

Have you ever passed out in a chair? You're lucky if you wake up only a little sore...
Sometimes **** happens in war, being a little sore isn't that bad.
Also.. I think I've read of a hammock that they can setup between two parts of the mech, and I know some mech's have a larger cockpit where perhaps the chair can recline, like the Timber Wolf and Summoner I believe have enough space to have multiple people inside besides the pilot

On toilets:
Microwaves and stuff:
Also they have fold out beds.
And in case anyone makes the mistake of thinking this is some random text off Reddit again, this is from one of the Official Battletech Core Rulebooks, the Tech Manual.

Nope. This is one of the reasons the Mech Warrior is held in such high regard in the fluff, yes they're highly skilled and highly trained people but they're also that tough. They are driving in underpants and a cooling vest to stave off heat stroke. The inside of a Mech's cockpit is about as pleasant a place to be in as a WW1 tank once its in battle.
Which does kind of make sense as you are sat on top of a large fusion reactor after all. Even on a modern motorbike you'll eventually feel the engine heat through the seat as you ride around.

I'd wager stuff like that is only jammed in to the personal Mech of some seriously high ranking official that never goes to the front lines. All the grunts in the fiction are described as riding around in something akin to a sauna.

Not really, only if you get stuck in some horrible clunker mech or if you're a clanner I guess

I would prefer a Sarna or Google Books link rather than some random images hosted on reddit. That does go against the FASA authorised fiction.
