A Scourge and a Zeus-X.

Man I really hope this TRO isn't filled with stupid XXL engines. I like the Zeus, but the Zeus-X is just a nope for me. Sorry, I'd rather not pay 85 MILLION some CBills for a single Zeus.

Scourge looks interesting though, from the cover it has at least 3 Medium/ER Medium lasers, and a Gauss Rifle, and maybe jump jets.

From the stats they had for the clix game some of the DA era ZUE-Xs seemed to do away with the XXLs in favor of XLs or even Lights. Their damage profiles were not exactly stellar for comparable assaults. I am looking forward to the Scourge stats, I used it heavily just before I quit playing MW:AoD and I really liked the mix of mobility, range, and hitting power.

Hah, I have three of the Wolves Dragoon Scourges and boy they are annoying in a 900 point game when recruited to Jade Falcon with the Jade Falcon DFA faction pride. 15-17" (depending on the pilot) DFA? Yes Please. Not to mention the three advanced anti-missile systems they had going.

I've been buying these TRO's and I have to admit that I rather like the designs and fluff.

Dark Age could be fun as a CBT campaign IMO.

Ruining lore is fun.

Remember those fantastic Star Wars prequels...

Sometimes, they do go away from the DA clix loadouts, but the scourge does look like the clix one, which is definitely fine.

I'd rather have a Zeus X then an Annihilator/Fafnir update.

I also suspect the Alfar to be in there, and maybe an Axeman/Hachetman descendant.

Oh Dark Ages...

How to ruin the legacy of a franchise by selling out for the short term (Dark Ages art now looks like complete poop, whereas BT stuff is pretty timeless in a lot of ways), instead of identifying and improving the core formula of the product.

They ruined the core formula the moment they introduced the clans, the more I read about the clans and to be honest the fictional tech to justify the different weapons systems the more I ROFL and wonder how old the person was that created the canon.

I mean its more outlandish than Star Wars, that has the force, and aliens that walk on their hands with their legs and *** in the air,

Oof, my fears were right, the new Zeus do have XXL engines. However they are 5/8 movements, lol. Only have an LRM-20, a Light Gauss Rifle, an ER Large Laser, and a medium X-pulse laser for weapons. Reactive armor, and composite structure to round things out. Also a cockpit command console.

Ah well. The Scourge is nice, and the Jaguar I was pleasantly surprised by.
Pretty good book I think. :)

Also Alpha Strike book came out today too! :P

Edit: OH DEAR BLESSED BLAKE, the Trutzburg drop ship in TRO:3145 Lyran Alliance is ridiculous.

3 Long Tom artillery (with 300 ammo...), 2 ER PPCs, 2 ER Large Lasers, 2 ER Medium lasers, and 2 Improved Heavy Gauss Rifles (with 40 ammo), and that is just in the NOSE.

Yeah the Trutzburg is great - and finaly the Kelswa tank - together with the DJ Schmidt.
Nice tanks and great infantry

but as usual mechs are a medicore.
Although i really like the Zombi - Goetterdaemmerung - though heavy mech.

the Zeus is indeed a waste of c-bills... no match for a Zeus -X WD. Composite Reactive and XXL fusion... well i bid a single Hellstar for a lance of those.

A lot of Rotary ACs.... and hardly any heavy Gauss Rifles.... thought that Davion likes those paper cut cannons.

Yeah I've been waiting on the stats for the Kelswa. I figured it would have had a pair of Gauss from looking at the WK model for it.

The aerospace fighter with the Heavy PPC + PPC capacitor was pretty nice too. Lyran's got their own version of the Picaroon. ;)

The 190 ton mobile fortress in there was pretty awesome too.

Aaaaand Clans got their cover revealed, too. Take a look.

With TRO: 3145 cover sneak peek in Alpha Strike, we have pretty much concluded all the TRO: 3145 series covers.

EDIT: Well, it didn't end up with the low-res Alpha Strike sneak peek:

awwww yisss, can't wait to see stats on the Wulfen and Warwolf. Hrm, the Warwolf on the cover of the Clan TRO:3145 has lasers in the place of the missile pods. Looking like a Gauss + 2 large lasers at least for that one. Probably a good bet it is an Omni.
