At the rate of content release it will be December or January before there is even a chance of Clans being added.

You realize theyve already been working on the clan mechs right? I mean its pretty obvious theyve been working on the clan stuff concurrently which is why the mech releases have slowed down substantially in the past few months. PGI said we would get an announcement about the clans in april I believe. I will hold them to that.

During those waves no one knew wtf was happening and so in the IS there was no "Clan Invasion" . The invasion halts in October and resumes in a year next November.

November] Operation Revival resumes with the Fifth Wave, reserve Clans activated.

Boom.. **** just got real.

3052 So for everyone hoping to battle the clans you might have about 2 years to wait until they start raiding the truce line.

I'm hoping they get CW rolling and we can have a year or so to establish some faction territories so that when the Clans show up it actually MEANS something.

How dumb would it be to release CW in March and then have the Clans come in like a month?

Exactly

March.

"List of planets"

^ all innersphere coreworlds captured during march - april

The Inner Sphere is a region of interstellar space surrounding Earth to a radius of roughly 450 - 550 light-years... ...Beyond the Inner Sphere is the Periphery.

Turtle Bay is a world located near the Periphery border with the Draconis Combine.

So no to your definition of what a coreworld is.

Don't worry about it, just keep practicing and you'll get it. Yes, operation Revival. One of the developers talks about it in the podcast.

Give us a transcript or something. A timestamp. Anything. Don't make me listen to a podcast.

There are no official news from the team about clan mechs or clan tech.
PGI, be responsible for what you release in your official information, you clearly say about the timeline:

What is the timeline of MechWarrior Online?
The game is set in a 1:1 timeline with the BattleTech universe, meaning that the current year 2013 equates to 3050 in BattleTech lore and each day that passes in real life also passes in the game. This means we are on the brink of the upcoming Clan invasion and utilizing the latest in technology available in the 3049 timeframe.

Wave 1 of clan invasions happen between March and April:

http://www.sarna.net...i/Clan_Invasion

So we would like to have an official answer about PGI's plans to include the clan mechs in the game and how it will balance the game in 1 month, since PGI announced like 17 IS mechs and they delivered only 12 or so...

Have you considered that the DEVs have the authority to reset the timeline of the impending game if required?

What's the rush? Seems to me that the obvious thing to do is to have the Clans to hit the IS after Community Warfare is running?

How about we have time to enjoy Community Warfare with mercenary units and IS houses, and then have the Clans invade the IS? That way it means something as they set about trying to take planets off of the IS and the great houses and mercenary units try to defend them. If you throws Clans in now (or April - which I doubt) all you get is a bunch of new mechs and a bunch of new weapons, which is a bit of a wasted opportunity for something rather cool.

"latest in 3049 tech" We don't even have 1/8th of the mechs available from LAST YEAR, much less anything CLAN that eventually shows up.

Well THAT is an unrealistic expectation.

Battletech has a ludicrous amount of mechs out there. A fraction is about all you'll get for a long time. There's just TOO MANY of them, and most of them are utterly redundant when you start adding in the mechbay.

So no, we won't get the full array of IS mechs for quite a long time, if ever. Likewise with the clans.

What we ARE getting are chassis that balance well with other mechs of the same weight class. And that's good enough for me.

Yep, if there already working on the clan mech the release of there mechs have been getting longer and longer in time frame you didn't really think that the modelers were in cryo sleep not doing anything , just because we have not seen in artwork on the site does mean that the mechs have been started are already completed and in holding pattern till they want to kick it off.
They have been working on the lag and net code issue, maps issue and general game improvement front end and match making ELO. All this has to be done before you could introduce the clans, hopefully they will turn on Direct X 11 before the clan stuff is kicked off and maybe the first wave of CW which has to have some of the fixes before it becomes live too.

I happy for we are getting new maps new mech a monthand some game issue fixed. Yes I would like to have clan tech on my inner sphere mech but I can wait. I really don't want to crest that big hill in alpine and see 5 mad cat staring up at my mech, that right up there with running my mech around the corneer of the building and out steps the KING CRAB I consider that a bad bad bad dream.

I converted all the Battletech novels to raw text and extracted Jan-April 3050 dates.

I just want to make the people whining for clantech to realize that by Jan 3051 (FIFTY ONE) the Innersphere had a total of 16-20 scrap Omnimechs/Parts and Hohiro Kurita captured "Four of your frontline BattleMechs and two dozen of your power-armored suits."

Clan tech could reasonably be limited to a Jan 15th 3051 (The day that Wolf's Dragoons called the InnerSphere together and spilled the beans) release and still stay with canon. Prior to that even Victor Steiner-Davion barely even understood that part of the reason the Clans were so strong was double heat sinks.

(from Sept 3050 on Twycross)
Victor nodded. "Yeah, there's no denying they run cool. I've already had a preliminary report on a heat sink taken from one of their machines. They have some sort of doublechambered heat exchanger and a fluid with a thermal retention factor that's seven-tenths of air itself! The Techs think those units, which are about the size of our own heat sinks, probably are 150 to 200 percent more efficient than ours."

The sour smell of sweat-drenched sheets met Phelan Kell as he fought his way to consciousness through the black fog filling his mind. Thousands of questions asked in hundreds of different ways by a legion of voices continued to echo through his brain. In counterpoint, he heard a single, agonized voice answering them again and again, and in the end, always surrendering valuable truths. Like the stench of his bedding, Phelan recognized the voice as his own.

Tyra Miraborg glanced at the auxiliary monitor on her cockpit control monitor. It showed a small icon representing her Shilone fighter dead-center on the screen and slowly rotated a vector-graphic sphere around the craft. Three small triangles with identification tags appeared near her ship to mark the position of her wingman and the other two pilots in her flight. Further on along her line of flight, a large orb remained tantalizingly distant.

Smoke coiled like oily black ropes against the red dawn sky. Scanning the horizon, Yodama knew it was more than just the heat churning out of his Phoenix Hawk's fusion reactor that made the sweat pour down his face. First Battalion must be in the fight of its life! If that's the petrochem refinery burning, it means they've fallen back to their final line of defense. He pushed his 'Mech forward, but only with the most powerful sense of doom.
As the disk of the sun appeared over the line of low hills between Shin's forward lance and the First Battalion's last stand, it flooded his infrared scan with white fire and so he shifted sensor modes over to vislight. While the computer was cycling through, a quick flash on magscan made him punch a button and switch the scanners back to magnetic anomaly detection. The computer painted, plain as day, humanoid silhouettes against the background of the vectorgraphic landscape.
Shin stared at the display. Another puzzle. They've given this flank over to infantry in metallic IR-baffling equipment! Shin opened a radio link to Hohiro Kurita. "Sho-sa, I have infantry detected on magscan at 500 meters. We have been anticipated." He keyed a feed of his sensor data over to Hohiro's Grand Dragon.

Kommandant Victor Steiner-Davion ducked his Victor and sidled it left through the subterranean lagoon as the raider 'Mech stabbed its left weapons pod at him. The Marauder-type pod spat the artificial lightning of a particle projection cannon. The azure bolt sizzled over the Victor's right shoulder, drilled into a massive icicle clinging to the cavern ceiling, and split it with a thundercrack.
Despite the frost covering his Mech's viewplate, the intense blue of the energy weapon lit his cockpit like a strobe. Concentrating on the computer-created landscape of magscan data, Victor dropped his autocannon's gold crosshairs onto the enemy 'Mech's outline and punched the trigger button with his thumb. There was a loud scream like that of some mechanical banshee, and then Victor saw his volley hit its target.

Myndo Waterly directed the attention of the Precentors to the center of the chamber. "We received this transmission from our facility on Balsta yesterday. I have reviewed it once and now present it for your edification. The message is relatively short, and in the Precentor Martial's style, somewhat succinct."
She clapped her hands once, sharply, and the lights in the bowl-shaped chamber dimmed. Directly above the gold-star insignia of ComStar worked into the floor, the image of the Precentor Martial flickered to holographic life. The image only showed him from the shoulders up and had been so enlarged that his eyepatch was the size of an aircar's steering wheel.

Shin Yodama clutched the threadbare blanket tightly to himself. The sewer's damp chill soaked up into him through the stone ledge where he sat. Moisture condensing on the tunnel ceiling dripped down with a dreadful monotony, but he tried to use it as a kind of mantra. Anything ... anything to take me away from this place.
Two men grumbling next to him broke his concentration. "Why do we follow the Old Man if he is content to keep us down here like rats? These invaders are not a storm that will blow over. I do not think the Old Man has the will to fight them."
"He may be content to die down here in the darkness," the other man said, "but I am not. I want to be staring up at the rings when I go."

Prince Hanse Davion leaned forward across the briefing table and stared at the holographic map of the Lyran Commonwealth. He reached over, took his wife's left hand in his right and gave it a reassuring squeeze. "Are you certain four more worlds are under assault? They only hit the first dozen two weeks ago! Is it possible?"
Justin Allard, standing halfway down the table, nodded slowly. "It looks as though the troops that conquer the worlds are not the same ones used to garrison the worlds. Once the populace is disarmed, the invaders are most willing to work with local authorities to maintain order. This frees up the shock troops to move on to hit forward targets."

TL;DR by Jan 3051 (FIFTY ONE) the Innersphere had a total of 16-20 scrap Omnimechs/Parts and Hohiro Kurita captured "Four of your frontline BattleMechs and two dozen of your power-armored suits." Remember the people the Clan met generally were not out selling salvage during the invasion, they were busy being administered by Comstar.

I can understand the "want" pf clans however I must question how asstarded people are.

I mean seriously CW isn't out yet, CLANS HAVEN'T EVEN HIT THE IS YET! Tis' early in the morning and I haven't had my coffee so for the whiny asstards please oh please quit coming to the forums you do nothing but prove your own idiocy and sad attempt at basic understanding at all. I mean seriously it is not hard to use the forum search bar quit being lazy and read up when we the players have at least speculated the earliest clans will be available to us.

There are no NPCs so it will not matter, we have skirmishes right now at best and again no NPCs they have not announced clan mechs for us to use other then stated sometime in the future.

I am sure ISN will be back up or it will be COMStar news instead come around the 18th or so. There is contention to the correct date they were first seen in the IS, The news has hinted about the clans since late November btw lorewise. So again go read up info and be a little more informed before you come complain on the forum. You brought nothing to the table not even a thought you have proven yet again the ignorance of most people.

I mean really to complain to PGI when the have made subtle references to the clans in the correct time line wow...I think I need my coffee so I don't rage at the asstards this morning.

Umm the houses DON'T work together to fight off the clans. In fact the houses continue to fight eachother at the same time as the clans. That's one of the major reasons the clans are able to occupy so many worlds as quickly as they do. It takes like 6-7 more years before the houses even start working together to counter-attack the clans. Again, it makes perfect sense to have CW and Clans only several months apart.

There is no major conflict between the houses from the conference on Outreach until after the Battle of Tukayidd. Correct me if i'm wrong.

If by major conflict you mean succession war, no. But there are definitely conflicts along the border worlds.

Can we please just stop speculating about what PGI is going to do about clans, and just let them do whatever they're going to do? It's only March 4th, for crying out loud. If you think that PGI hasn't been thinking about the clans since day 1, you're delusional. It's not as if they're caught by surprise, here, and if they haven't updated the timeline, then just expect it to play out as it should until they make an announcement to the contrary. No one knows what is actually happening internally at PGI.

But no borders change. There is tension to be sure, but nothing as far as a conflict on a scale larger than a raid. Essentially there is peace until:

3056
September 16th: Capellan Confederation and Free Worlds League invade Federated Commonwealth in Operation Guerrero.

Edit: Why does this ^^ happen? Thousands upon thousands of millions of website forums and this is the only one where I can't copy and paste things properly.

It is because PGI decided to have all copy and past functions handled server side? :D

Oh ok, so yet another person who thinks this is (or should be) a direct TT port. Can someone refer him to MW:Tactics?

So Norris you went thru your past posts to dig your info up too huh?

Tactics is a CCG (collectable card game). Stupid random booster packs and all. There you command a lance of Mechs, you do not pilot a single mech like you do in MWO.

Sorry but the TT rules are references are never going away. You must accept that fact.
