While I can see how this can cause someone concern, sensationalizing your topic like this (let's face it, saying that something is dieing is sensationalizing it) is going to get you largely ignored.
While content is, undoubtedly part of what makes an MMO succeed or fail, that content isn't just art assets. It's gameplay, which is arguably more important than art. It's entirely possible that the initial 2-mechs-a-month plan (this is the first I've heard of it myself) was abandoned, either for being infeasible with PGI's resources (having created assets for games myself, I can tell you that it takes a lot of time and effort, a lot more than people think, just to make the 3D models, let alone texture, rig, and the myriad other things required to make a completed game asset) or in favor of redistributing money and effort into other areas, such as gameplay mechanics and community warfare. It's entirely possible that we are actually still under the Plan, after all, they are indeed releasing two 'mechs a month, one hero and one regular.
Plans change during devlopment. Especially early on, like now. You forget, a year ago, this game didn't even exist.
The March "deadline" for the invasion, I think, was people getting their hopes up. While we are, technically, in the midst right now, it's barely started. No one has seen any of the clans' 'mechs. At least not in such a way that their appearances have been widely spread.
