Oddly I had to read the patch notes for tomorrow at IGN. We all have to deal with people hiding behind the entire team and comes out only to KS. This Savior bonus seems to reward KS.

With the launch of the patch you'll get a Savior Kill bonus if you down an opponent who was attacking a teammate with a critical component at less than 50% health and a Defensive Kill bonus if you kill or attacked a killed enemy mech that was attempting to capture your base. Both of these bonuses net you 7,500 CBills (the in-game currency) and 150 experience What you guys and gals think? Am I reading it wrong?

Edit:
Josef Nader explained very good and I was thinking the target mech below 50%. My bad and thanks again Josef :D.

There is no "KS" in this game.

Go play MW4 offline if you are worried about KS.

I think that if I'm being pumelled, by all means, steal my kill.

If I've got a bunch of damage and someone finishes off the guy shooting me in the face: I say good!

You have to be kidding. Really?

Are you truly upset by this? Another bone to encourage team play? And we don't have to adjust or change anything to see its effects?

As others have harshly pointed out; if you're concerned about KS, you're concerned about the wrong thing.

You describe cowardly as, "people hiding behind the entire team and comes out only to KS"...but this can also be said about any support role mech.

The goal is to wipe out the other team before they can wipe you out KDR doesn't really amount to anything.

I run my K2 as a second line support build. It's not a brawler, and I don't have enough long range weapons on it to play as a dedicated sniper. I'm that guy behind the front line, but in front of the LRM support. I put rounds on target as often as I can, helping the front line burn down the push. Sometimes I get a kill, most of the time I don't. I look at kills as a team effort. At the end of the match, as long as we get the win, I don't care if I have 0 kills and 7 assists. This new mechanic just means I'll occasionally get a bonus on my paycheck....

Oh, you don't want me to "steal your kill"?

Sure, I can wait 20 seconds for you to die then pull the trigger. Since you seem to care so much about stats, I would think you would rather not have a death than a kill.

# of times I've seen someone seriously complain about kill stole = 1

# of times I've seen someone apologize for killstealing to be told NP bro ! = about 10

So I'm not sure maybe you're in ELO hell with DCers and griefers, but anyone who is playing for fun is beyond caring about a killsteal.

*Edit - Amount of times I've taunted my friends after stealing their kills in Vent = ~100 :D

Is it me or has the intelligence level dropped on the forums today. I pop into a thread only to feel dumber with each click. I know its my own fault but really I mean come on...

Why,Why would you be upset at all for someone killing a guy that is trying to kill you? Please inform me the reasoning behind being upset in any way.

My perspective? "Killstealing" is actually kind of a viable teamplay strategy and if done correctly is somewhat helpful. If I take off someone's CT armor and LA but they run, me dragging my 100 ton butt off to chase them isn't helping the team. If a swayback pilot wants to step up, finish the damaged mech off and get back in position much faster than I could, more power to the swayback pilot. OTOH if someone is doing it because they actually care about their KDR and aren't contributing to the fight otherwise, that's kind of annoying.
