Pay For Convenience - Yay Or Nay Discussion?

With an average MC to Cbill exchange rate of 2500 CB to 1MC then for example an ER-PPC would be: 240 MC's.
Since it would be PAY for convenience then we can up the price to a clear 250MC's.
ERPPC: 250 MC's
MG : 4 MC's
ML: 32 MC's
COM-1B: 680 MC's
DHS Upgrade: 200 MC's
For me with a full-time job I find it hard to find the grind time to get enought C-bills most of the time, especially for more expensive mechs.
They could even have package prices for equipment and reflect that with similar package deals in C-bills.
For those that say it's pay to win I say NAY.
I get there a little faster, my gear will be no different from yours.
Let's keep the discussion level headed and present the pros and cons.

Seems like a new player would buy a mech with MC then be likely to load it out using MC.
Specifically XL engines and upgrades. I bet many people would pay the MC verses grinding that cash.

but in general i have a hard time spending mc on hero mechs, never mind a ppc. i think the implementation of mc (and gxp) as it is, just complicates the mech lab interface, having everything with mc options would make it worse.
i would consider droping mc completely and allowing direct purchases of cbills but i doubt the finance dept will go for that.

Well, one could argue that MC purchases could be made MORE expensive than it's c-bill equivalent counterpart - a sort of paying for the priviligue.
Would I buy an ERPPC for 300 MC - Perhaps - depends on how much I need it. A 20% more expensive MG would be 5MC so it's really only noticeable on the high end equipment.

I would prefer this system, and while people would moan about the price it needs to be made higher to promote game play. I'm not convinced either way at the moment, as I can see advantages for both methods. Either in game earnings or pay for the shortcut privilege.
I'm officially on the fence.

I'd say mech experience would most likely be the advantage for those who grind the money. They will spend far more time on the field than what my casual *** will manage.
And then we have the rare cases of having money AND time but they are in a different boat altogether.

When consumables do come out, I'd love to see everything available for c-bills (including the large coolant flush), and MC being an option both as an alternative currency choice and as a permanent unlock (like camo patterns, with a large mark-up over single-use versions).
TLDR: Convenience and Vanity are the two areas of monetization for f2p games. MWO needs to systematize this idea in its business model. Everything with a battlefield impact available for cbills, with alternative MC prices to go along with it.

Coolant flush has no place in this game - especially since there are in-game gear like the Coolant Pod that is released in 3056.
It's gonna be silly if you can have both and perhaps cool down instantly 3 or perhaps 4 times in a match.

Turn your premium on.
I have a full time (better than full time actually) job and go to school 4 days a week an average of 3 hours a day. I never have money issues.

And how often do you have time to play in the evenings? Do you have time for anything else?
EDIT:
Hmm, how could paying with MC impact the amount of players going premium?

I have very little time during the week generally I went to overnight to be able to carry my course load.
Monday, I generally don't play at all
Tuesday and Thrusday I get maybe 2 hours, IF I don't have an errands to run
Maybe 4 hours on Wed....maybe.
Every other weekend I have to cover the lab on Sunday, but because I work overnight, 7-8 hour grind-a-thons are about a bi-weekly.
I was commenting primarily on your statement that you were having C-bill issues. Premium time alleviates that largely I bought, upgraded and elited three Awesomes in a weekened that way. No MC involved. (and no one wasn't the PB)
