Nice med las accuracy there but what is up with the LRM?

I probably fire to often with low odds of hitting and still I ended up with this so far:

MEDIUM LASER 83.93%
LRM 15 36.14%

Edit; holy crap how this forum mangles pasted text.

Let's see. ECM, Cover, out of practice! I was displeased with my performance seeing how I once was a Missile boat captain. maybe I should invest in a 4P Hunchback!!!

Pretty Sure each time you press the Tag button and hold it down it counts as 1 shot and since you could easily tag multiple mechs, or retag the same mech several times from a single button press.

I wonder if lasers could technically have over 100% as well, if say a single beam hit more than 1 mech.

Cool, stats that matter. I like that they have accuracy numbers. Sadly I think I spent most of the beginning part of the new stat tracking making a big smiley face with lasers on alpine... This guy made a circle and like half the team chipped in for eyes and a mouth.

Stats
AC20
21/16 = 76.19%

Medium Lasers
2,114/1,882 = 89.03%

Medium Pulse Laser
48/30 = 62.50%

SRM6
2,604/1,154 = 44.32%

Streak SRM2
436/316 = 72.48%

I am impressed with the big stick, and surprised at Streaks. Maybe the outcries of OP are exaggerated. Funny, on TT Pulse lasers were more accurate than Standards...

The hunchback-4G seems to have been the right choice for the next Mech for my conquest of the Inner Sphere.

I played a bit more now...

It seems when it comes to weapons that require leading, I am not very good. AC/20 and AC/5 have similar accuracy.
Interestingly, I can do better with SRMs, that may be because I don't try to take shots at the ranges I'd fire an AC/20 or AC/5.
Though I can't complain, my AC/20 hits give me 20.5 damage per AC/20... THat's abit more than it should. ;)
The AC/5 seems to give me exactly 5 points damage on every hit. I wonder if the AC/5 projectile size is any different than that of the AC/20? If so,
My SRM6 give me 2.32 damage per hit on average, which is also a bit more than it should.
It's about 2.34 for the SRMs, by the way.

Oh, for fun, my rate of fire (rounded to seconds)
AC/20: 23 seconds per shot on average.
Medium Laser: 8 seconds per shot
Large Laser: 6 seconds per shot
PPC: 6 seconds per shot
AC/5: 58 seconds per shot
SRM6: 3 seconds per missile (boils down to 18 missile salvos per second.)

Of course, a mech that has 1 AC/20 can easily have 4 medium lasers... So I suppose the times actually boil down to very similar numbers if you consider the number of weapons typically equipped.

Interestingly enough, currently trend seems to be that my SRMs deal a bit less damage than they should on average. Wonder how that could be, there is no damage drop off for them. Or are those "kill shots" and those aren't count fully?

But that doesn't explain why my AC/20 deals almost its full expected damage per shot on average. Especially considering that I actually fire it out of normal range sometimes. I mean, it still deals 10 damage at 540m, that's a lot better than no damage.

I'm kind of a stats junkie. Really wish the weapon stats could be displayed per chassis and variant. The most interesting thing I noticed is how much my hit ratio varies with a weapon from chassis to chassis. I had a pair of PPC mounted on a K2. After one round I had a roughly 60% hit rate. I switched the K2 to ER PPCs and put the standards on a 3D. My ERPPC hit rate is still just above 60% but the PPC rate is at about 45. I always felt like I struggled with the 3D and generally prefer three weapon groups and a symmetrical layout, but I just can't seem to make the 3D work for me, even with a relatively poor dual PPC and UAC 5 build. I think it's the low mount points. Looking forward to the Jagermech.

It seems that my lrm (and tag) accuracy is increasing. I am not sure why but here is the update:

Posted Image

Off-topic; Elo seems to be working too. Stats after tracking also got increase, apart from the joke driving in my Jenner. I am really bad at driving Jenners after all that assault driving. It will be interesting to see how this develops...

Posted Image

Very nice that we now got more detailed stats. As others has said it would be nice with weapon stats by mech type.

Presumably they only started tracking these stats after they added the option to view them.

Because mine are all empty, they all say that no data is available.

Surprised that srm4 is less accurate for me then a 6 which has far more spread. Please note that Storm Troopers hate AC2 and PPC. I am a Storm Trooper.

Maybe you focus more when using the 6 because you know you have to?

We all know that Storm Troopers HATE energy weapons. Just look how bad they are at hitting with lasers in the movies.
If you gave them a PPC there would probably be teamkilling all over the place while the rebels got away. again.

As a Storm Trooper, I am surprised you hit at all. :)

But I think 54.41 % hit rate with AC/2 isn't bad - it has a high rate of fire and long range, both factors that mean you probably take a lot of difficult shots with little aiming time.

Why PPC hit rate is so low I don't know.

I created a small Google Docs spreadsheet that can calculate additional data. What I was interested in primarily was - how much of the optimal expected damage do I inflict? This is a bit difference from accuracy, as it takes into account damage drop offs from range and me missing with a few ticks of a laser.
https://docs.google....MVE&usp=sharing

You should be able to copy & paste the data from your profile into the sheet, but for now you still have to manually enter the damage per shot a weapon does.

AC/20: 61.65%
MEDIUM LASER: 47.35%
SRM 4: 38.33%
ER PPC: 62.50%
LARGE LASER: 50.42%
PPC: 39.60%
LRG PULSE LASER: 45.67%
AC/5: 61.03%
SRM 6: 47.28%
STREAK SRM 2: 78.75% (And weirdly enough: Damage/Hit seems to be 3.32 %, which is more than it should.)

It seems that at I am more efficient with ballistic projectiles than with instant-hit-but-with-beam-duration lasers. I didn't expect that. I suppose I should train a bit more focusing on lasers.

My hits with lasers (90%-85%) are way better that my hit percentage with streaks (70%) lol.
AC20 59%
ER PPC 43% (something I had always felt I was good with)
LRM10 20.93%
TAG 34%
I run my TAG laser always on, and it is better than my LRM's!

edit: @ MustrumRidcully, the missiles do a lot of splash damage, that is why they are higher than 2.5 for streaks.

my only weapons are medium lasers (3) tag (technically a weapon I guess and new to my build) and LRM15s
their accuracy's are:
Medium lasers= 71% with 629 firrings
Tag= 30% with 750 firrings
LRM 15s= 25.37% with 9,855 firrings

over the course of 20 matches since stats where collected (I don't play very often)

The Medium laser is still the most accurate for me but my Gauss has somehow done 15.5 points of damage average with every hit. Now I know I haven't had a math class in decades but I don't remember how you get an average that is higher than the maximum damage the weapon does?

I played only 1 match in the last 3 weeks, and i'm pretty shocked about the results.

LL: 42 fired, 35 hit, 83.33% Accuracy, 193 dmg (shooting around at the beginning of the match lowered this value)
AC20: 18 fired, 16 hit , 88.89% Accuracy, 302 dmg
Srm6: 270 fired, 157 hit, 58.15% Accuracy 277 dmg

The Srm hitrate seems shockingly low, given the following facts.
1) Not a single volley was wasted
2) I took down 4 mechs, lightest was a catapult. (this means i didn't waste rockets trying to splash ravens)
3) All srm were shot within a range of less than 190 meters (there was some serious brawling going on)
4) I took down an atlas and an awesome which are basically impossible to miss.

I expected the srm hitrate to be somewhere around 80%. It seems the actual hitrate is alot lower than the "visual" hitrate i am seeing.

Awful hit ratio on the stalker missile boat with its one battle.

As a Jenner, I like buzzing around, getting missile locked, and then come to a stand-still behind cover. I imagine a lot of people do that, and that's leaving out ECM.
So I think that's one reason for the low hitrate of LRMs that you're seeing.

As for myself, 90.21% hitratio for Medium Lasers, yet 87.32% for Medium Pulse Lasers. Not sure if I suck more with the Pulses because I'm not used to them, or due to the reduced range.
