So what he just said! If you have one or two people who just happen to be looking for a group drop and they showed up after you filled a 4 man, they are screwed for trying to play with their friends. My wife wants to play, but she's worried about being detrimental to a 4 man right now, if we didn't have this stupid cap on groups she could drop with us and not be a bother.
PGI listens to the lonewolf puggers way to much and it hurt the brands most loyal people, those of us who were there in the begining!
PUT BACK THE ABILITY TO RUN ANY NUMBER IN A GROUP!!

Who said that solo players aren't loyal to the brand, or haven't been playing since closed beta? This idea that pre-made teams are the only BT fans is crazy.
Plus, believe it or not, there are a lot more solo players then pre-made players out there. And who is more likely to spend money on this game, players who form teams, win 90% of their games, and are swimming in c-bills because of it? Or players who don't play too often, play solo and loose more often, and decide to spend $$ on MC to keep up?

Lances
Companies
Battalions
Regiments
But instead of ragin I'll just say there is room for both styles of play.
Both side can be content.
So come on PGI lets get it done.
My regiment is just hanging in limbo.
Yes there that many of us who got together to play.
It's sad to see this fine game losing out to the likes of War Thunder and World of Tanks.

I do not understand why people continuously bring up this argument. There are games with voip built in and teamwork does not magically appear within those games.

Those games don't have a game mechanic that actively disrupts weapons fire, targetting, positional data of your team and therefore communications + other effects. In-game voice comms won't solve the premade vs pug problem either but it can make pugs more competitive, but also less if you have one person with a bad attitude.

Not so much about elevating the pug game to the level of clan-based guys. It's about giving clans a place to do their thing vs other clans. That's what the clans want. They don't want to fight ANY pugs, except the dirty pugstompers, but real clans hate those guys too and crush them into the ground.

So you guys only want to play against pugs? Real elite group you got there.
And to all the groups that want to RP and have 'Trial of Whatever', this isn't a player run league from Mechwarrior 4.

^ This
for all you clan/guild members, how hard is it for the 2 or 3 extras to go find a guy or 2 in TS, we have community servers, provided for free.
i mean really...
how hard is it to jump onto TS, go into the LFG and say "we are looking for..." or how hard is to to look at the channles and see a drop that only has 3 or 2 in it?
or invite them into your TS/Vent.

You can even drop at the same time as your friends and play on opposite teams or on the same team if the ELO balances out right!

Because built in voip will suddenly be used by the masses to counter all these things and then we'll have a magical publand.
Or no one will use the voip, and we'll be in the exact same situation. Or the voip will be awful and we'll be in the same situation.

This 100%, however, I am sure those on my team with it enabled will enjoy me spamming music on the VoIP!

Heh. the first thing I do in those games is turn off the integrate VOIP. I have no need to listen to some random guys BS while trying to play, I have TS for VOIP and the only BS I have to hear is from people whose BS I'm used to.
