Yeah, I saw that. I am going to wait and see what info is on the May Dev Update and the latest Ask the Devs answers before I change the UI timeline.

If nothing shows up about UI 2.0 being May/June, I'll push it back. If they say that it's around the corner, I'll leave it there.

Well, it's official as Bryan twitted it today. The Next consumable WILL be the UAV.

I have been hearing a NASTY rumor.. that clans and inner sphere will never face each other.. is this true?

"The clan warfare's going to come out after launch. It's going to roll out within the first two to three quarters after launch and it'll start with some basic content and then the players will be able to join the clans and then they'll be able to buy the clan tech."

Are the clans coming? Yes. When? After launch? How long will that be? No hard deadlines. That's the most recent info we have.

Was that the scouting device used in the original video (using the Unreal engine) that seemed cool at the time?

Yeah, that's the one they're referring to, the one that launched out of the Mech and into the sky.

Has there been any mention to overheating reactors/self distruction or pilot ejection systems. I'm not for self distruction I know that would just ruin games because of goofballs, but still what ever happened from ejecting from a mech. Maybe like you can gain some extra c-bills if your about to be destroyed and you pull one off sucessfuly?

Just saw the post about the heat and night vision only being shown on the glass of the cockpit and not the whole screen.

I have just realised how awsome this would be to the overall look of the game when in alternative vision modes =)

So what is the status of painting hero mechs? The top posts is still saying April...unless they mean April 2014, this is obviously not going to happen.

What is the current timeline?

No explosions on the board for dead mechs. The reasoning behind this was to prevent suiciding light mechs.

Also don't forget to include that Hero 'Mech painting is FINALLY going in on May 7th (check Brian's Twitter, or the dedicated thread by Thontor - he deserves credit for posting that info to the forums).

For me this will be THE WORST POSSIBLE THING they could do. No way should this go live. A permanent functional change, to alleviate a small, temporary play style? The ruination of casual JJ users? Brawling JJ on Cat-C1's? Say good bye to all the legitimate uses of JJ. Strip them off your mechs now, waste of tonnage. All so some tiny loud minority on the forums doesn't have to deal with an imaginary, specific issue that they will have forgotten about in two weeks when the next laser pointer flashes before their eyes. Meanwhile all JJ users will still be dealing in perpetuity with the cumbersome game mechanic that eliminates skill and adds a random component to your playing. Hell while they are at it, why not give all weapons a chance to jam? I hate that those damn gauss rifles can be fired at me all the time! It's not fair I tell you! They should have a chance to jam when they shoot me! I require this in order to enjoy the game so I can play it exactly how I want to without having to think about anything other than pew pew pew. FIRE ALL LASORS!

In all seriousness, I hope this was a troll addition to the upcoming features and not an actual, serious possibility though.

Confirmation of the Hero mech repaint being available May 7th from Bryan's Twitter.

Also, he mentions the UAV consumable being pushed back one patch.
