Well, i think, i do not make much friends with this suggestion, but i would like to see three of the features, the game had in the past back:

1. Repair cost
2. Ammo cost
3. Mech collision (including falling to the ground)

Imho it was this 3 features that made MWO special compared to pure pew pew games.

Agree for the most part. I didn't really like running a Dragon with FF armor, Endo, and XL. I lost money every match. Mech collisions need to be re-implemented ASAP.

Pretty much this. R&R made you a bit more careful as to which upgrades to put in as to not lose money after a match (Perfect example above) and Collisions made you a careful pilot as to make sure of what's in front of you (i.e. Not hitting anything bigger than you are, avoiding Dragons and Lights).

Why? As stated out, it was what made MWO special.

There is collision damage, just no tripping.

R&R should return in some form. There needs to be an incentive to get better at the game other than raging on the forums for nerfs.

As it is now it seems like the c-bill rewards have been tweaked slightly downwards since RR is gone, but I still make a profit on every match.

I feel your pain, also close to 10,000 standard armor points just sitting there collecting dust. ^_^

R&R makes play4free damn near impossible as we would be forced to run lousy underperforming builds. All of the premium players would be out running maximized builds with little to no penalty which is why you see almost only founders or premium players supporting this bring back of R&R.

Sorry, but that's not true. You just have to think first and than skill up the mech you like. It might take 1 week, but after that, if you play a bit intelligent, it's no problem after all to always have enough money.

I myself did it exactly this way - without premium. Took me 3 weeks, to be strong. OK, now i have premium, but it was a birthday gift. :D

They were a form of taxation, and aren't ever coming back.

Let it go.

Wrong... I have been around in the beta for quite a long time and heaven forbid should you run any sort of xl engine or anything except lasers, rearm almost always produced either little profit or even negative cbills without premium(without abusing free rearm). All this does is give premium users a significant advantage over free players. Yes I'm a cheapskate but I would prefer to keep the game balanced. Stop trying to fix what isn't broken.

I never played when R&R costs were active, but conceptually I think it's a terrible idea. For me, the best and most unique thing about MWO is creating, playing, and experimenting with crazy, personalized builds. R&R discourages this. Therefore, it's a terrible idea.

It was more terrible and unfair than you could ever imagine, which is why it had to go. Never coming back.

R&R didn't have effect on the rich people (people with 200m+ cbills). It only punishes new players, and is something which you could call "anti-fun".

This is based on how it was from what I remember. It was pretty common to only get around 30-50k cbills from a winning a match. I'd say the average mech take about 8-10mil cbills to get up to decent standards. At 30k that's about 300 games for 1 mech :D.

I don't know about you but I hate games that require a bunch of grinding to have fun.

Boo. Tar and feather the "we want repair back" people. I'd like to run the mech I actually want to run, thank you.

It was really hard to make any money with repair and rearm. People with pay accounts didn't seem to have much of a problem with it. What happened is that ammo builds were for people with pay accounts, and lasers were for everybody else who were saving money for other mechs. I had trouble affording my stock catapult. If you payed you could have a better mech on the field. Lrm spam builds (3xlrm20 4xlrm15) were things that only premium people could field. It was pointing in a bad direction and I applaud their decision not to bring it back.
