or because your opponents chose poorly on their map positions and lack of AMS.
And for the record, artillery mechs are a massive waste of potential.
Sure they are great when you get to sit back and bombard but the moment a commando rolls up on you, you are useless.
Best builds are balanced blend.

AC20 and SRMs are OP, despite 270 range, and long recycle time. I basically suck. Ask anyone.

the next closest score in your game was 700. Your game was a longer game in which everybody had an equal oppretunity to do high amounts of damage. in the OP's case the next closest score on his team was 400. It was a short time interval in which he did massive amounts of damage. He took all the damage away from his teamates because of the high DPS of LRMs, compared to his teamates.

I did all that damage in minutes, then had to run around chasing a spider forever with two medium lasers. No ammo left.

I kept trying to tell people -- if I can see you, you're going to have a gaping hole in your torso after 2 volleys. Don't come charging at me at 60kph. If you're fast and can get under my activation range, more power to ya. If you're going to strike at me and then *run* -- think about that for a moment. I'm just waiting until you hit the 140m mark (assuming you are running away from me) and fire. By the time they get to you, you're at 180. Suprise!

hmmm...Lets try some math on that theory.
OP's game
Total damage of both teams not including OP = 2999
OP's damage = 1209
Total 40% of everyone else's combined damage
Vass's game
Total damage of both teams not including Vass = 2799
Vass = 953
Total 34% of everyone else's combined damage
Yep, your right...Vass was totally carried by his team there...such a gimp

Empirical evidence clearly demonstrates that generalists and inferior to specialists. The only time this is ever true, ever, is when MM rolls you too many of the same kind of specialist and the enemy capitalizes.
