Chat, when screens change, delete anything attempted to be typed.
I have also seen where people are conversing with their team and exposed location or lance makeup. This happened to me tonight. It is very confusing when hitting Y or T and typing something and you lose it or it goes to the other chat variable.

Wish it was possible to set it up somewhat like this:
Enter: start chat to all/team; whoever you sent a message to last
Ctrl while typing: toggle between all/team
Enter again: send message to all/team; whichever is toggled
Esc: cancel message without asking me to quit the game.
And add a button to display chat so I don't have to start chatting to see what has been typed before.

it should be mandatory to have scroll buttons to be able to read previous messges.
At least on the after match screen.
Edit: One Eyed Jack was faster than me.

I can see the point, but this is communication we are talking about. The game DEMANDS an accurate communication level

Backspace was OP so they nerfed it.

Since this implementation I have found communications to have improved. If you type something in and you dont want to post it you can clear the whole lot by hitting esc then esc again and its cleared if that is what your specific concern is vs amendments.

This is patently silly. It's combat, not a literary discourse. It needs to be fast. Right now it is not fast.

Illegible blue text, removing the background so its even harder to read the text, removing the ability to hold down backspace, forcing you to tap it once FOR EVERY SINGLE LETTER AND SPACEBAR PRESS.... making it so ESC doesn't give you a quick out....
Just resign yourself to dropping with people you were born conjoined with.

Now you are being silly, You talk about needing to be fast and yet you want backspace to work for combat chat? Imagine you are right in the thick of battle if you are a PUG you need to be able to relay information very quickly. You worrying about even needing to use a backspace at all is a great concern to me. As a teammate i dont care if your spelling is perfect
So if you type in below
"Engage Alpa as primrary"
Do you mean to tell me you are going to look at it, go "Oh Noes i have spelling mistakes" and go use backspace to go and correct that typo before you hit enter thereby wasting valuable time?
My point anyway was perhaps more orientated towards the non "mission critica"l chat that occurs in game.
