The Wolf's Dragoons Arctic Wolves Gamma Regiment (A.W.G.R.) is now recruiting.

We are looking to expand our small unit by recruiting gamers of all levels (casual to hardcore), who appreciate the history of the Battletech universe (particularly, the Wolf's Dragoons), and are interested in joining a friendly online community for mutual support in Mechwarrior Online.

We are part of the larger Wolf's Dragoons community (discussed here: http://mwomercs.com/...s-and-sub-units) which includes the Alpha, Beta, Delta, Epsilon, and Zeta Regiments, as well as the Black Widow Company).

We plan to hold weekly practices and friendly matches with our sister regiments, as well as ally under the Wolf's Dragoons banner for larger engagements.

If you are interested in joining the unit, or have any questions, feel free to contact me online here, or at the following links:

Do the Dragoons plan on being friendly with the Kell Hounds?

Guys, please read this thread:

http://mwomercs.com/...-and-sub-units/

The Wolf's Dragoons entity that we are talking about is not a single merc unit (and could not exist anyway, not with the devs locking out canon merc unit names). It is an ALLIANCE of various merc units. The Kell Hounds will also not be a merc unit. At least, they won't be player-run units.

If you want to join any of the Dragoons units, please stop by the Dragoons thread and see which units are part of that ALLIANCE. Or visit the website at mwodragoons.com

Eh, was just wondering more based on game fiction than on the reality of the online game.

If you are not Dragoons, then why do you keep calling yourselves Wolf's Dragoons?

Because no unit can use that name, so we are units that make up Wolf Dragoons Merc CO. Thus we are the actual companys/units in the Dragoons.

We are beascially regiments of a aliance undered the wolf dragoon banner. We wil be conducting an organizeing our selves in a way that wolf dragoons do. So we are not cannon basically. An when an if the wolf dragoons become a faction in this universe we willl suport them much in the same way as if you joined house davion when the game starst. You could not be prince but you an your unit could suport them. So wolf dragoons standerds oragnization training, colors ect ect. Hope this helps.

I'm not explaining this to you anymore. I'm sorry, but it's been said about two dozen times. If you cannot understand the very simple online-gaming concept of an ALLIANCE, then you just don't deserve any more of my time.

Damn... It was a serous question. I did not realise it was such a sensitive topic for some of you, sorry for the offense.

@Firefly of course I know what an alliance is (Hell I play EvE, when you have alliances of alliances things can get messy and complicated). Despite that your post was rather disrespectful, I am not going to take the bait and 'rage'. You misinterpreted my question. I know what you are trying to do with the whole alliance thing, but the fact remains that you are still claiming to be Wolf's Dragoons through being the (canon) sub-units that compose the Dragoons. Sure you can change your name to something similar as it looks your group has, but that only validates that you are the unofficial MWO rendition of those canon units. If the devs do implement the major canon units as joinable mini-factions as they have said they might, would you join them? The only reason I can see people not wanting to join the official groups would be because they do not want to give up the power they have in leadership roles (I admit that power is hard to give up, but I plan to relinquish mine when my mercenary company joins Clan Wolf in-game). However that would hurt both parties as your players would be split between the official MWO Dragoons and your Dragoons' Alliance.

We would join an support while maintinat stuctures. I do belive that is how many groups are doing it with the house side. They just makeing up there own units. With hope of being able to make them offical units when game starts. But who knows. we will see at launchon the 7th. An if you were misinterped an ment no offence them i am sorry if I have given offence. Have a good day. Hope the clanner things works out for you

Sorry if you think Firefly is trying to Rage you into a forum flame war, but he really isn't. The problem is that you are not even nearly the first to bring up the Wolf's Dragoon alliance and misinterpret it's meaning. Also, BWC isn't a unit of the Wolf's Dragoons, it's a multi-game company that's been around since 2002, starting with Planetside, where they named it after the U.S. 188th Airborne unit.

As far as merging into the faction when it releases, it really depends on how it's done. The players in my unit depend on the exclusivity to avoid getting an immature gaming crowd. The average age is around 30, but we have a full spectrum of age and experience in the group. There is little doubt that unless we can still develop as an individual unit within the dragoons, BWC will continue to be a merc unit outside of it. Not because we're power-hungry, but because we provide a certain gaming atmosphere.

Onto lighter topics, how is the website coming along Vampyr?

Looking forward to joining this group and am planning on reading up on the Dragoons' back story. ( I already know they were scouts sent by clan wolf but decided to defend the inner sphere instead. )

I a Fan of the Clan/Mercenary group Wolf's Dragoons. I would love to be a part of this is you folks are still recruiting. I've played both battletech and Mechwarrior as well as read the books. I still working with a learning curve on MWO but I enjoy the game.
