My spiders are elited already. 4x machine guns + 1 flamer is the best build you can have.

I actually enjoy my 4 machine gun 5K. You constantly do damage and will sometimes get a kill...too bad the damage is close to nothing. The MG's sound awesome and i like the tracer rounds. It's a painful trek though.

Real men level a Spider in minutes if not seconds. I have enough XP stored up to max out several Mechs right after purchase.

5K is a fun mech and is able to support heavies / assaults by disarming enemies and providing another AMS.

K/D is below 1 in the 5K, but it's the most enjoyable mech I have. Though I've mastered Jenners before, so I guess MM assumes from my ELO I'm piloting a MIGHTY spider. When you score a kill with MGs it's hilarious..... but it's mostly kill stealing

IMHO the 5V is much more hard, you have these 12 JJ but can't really aim high with the torso-mounted lasers (actually, I use my JJ to aim sometimes o.O).

The 5K is the only one that seemed painful, until i wanted to troll around a bit and fitted a uac in its arm... and suddenly got 400 damage.
Yes, it gets torn to shreds by 3Ls, but what doesn´t? As long as you stay away from any streakboats you can actually put a surprising amount of hurt on any target with the uac and a single med laser.

Love my spider 5D. Once scored 702, and 600+. Mostly it is 200-300, but so, so much fun : )
