Every match there is always someone who decides that they are going to go Rambo and wander off by themselves to single handedly smite the enemy. Rambo is ALWAYS the first to die. Then they say "Oh, thanks for the help team. You guys suck". Uh-huh. Says the dead noob.

Why do you do this?? WHY??? WHY???

In my experience, the Rambos don't say anything, they just DC without giving you a hint of what they saw (or where, if they were under ECM).

I hate it when someone from my team dies only 15 seconds into the game.

I have the opposite experience whenever I play in the evenings (GMT+8 time). I move away to try to flank the enemy and after about a minute half my team is dead. If I stay with them they all back off and let whoever is in front die. Sometimes they form 3 - 5 separate groups and die. There are times when I go out in front during a clash and some of them still manage to die before I do. :)

I have always wanted to know this. The only reasonable explanation I can come up with is that it's a new player that just wants to spectate.

/shrug

I think a better question to ask is why are we still stuck with them now that we have Matchmaking.

People who thinks this is call of duty, or any similar game. People who doesnt care about the game and its mechanics.

But dont worry. They wont last longer in MWO. They will quit, eventually.

Hey I saw something shiny on the other side of the map and that hill looked like it could use some exploring. Not my fault they shot at me. We're peaceful robots.

I know it's hard for the pros to hear, but they do have a right to play as well, MM will team them with you if they are looking for a game and the ELO needs to balance teams to a certain extent. Sometimes just a calm message in chat such as "Come with us xxxxx" is all it takes.

Perhaps it does. But, I don't think it's something players should be obligated to do. After a while, you start to get Dillahunty syndrome where you're constantly dealing with the same **** time and time again. You'd think playing together as a team, is given, being that it's a team base game. Yes, I would have liked ELO to alleviate this somewhat.

Running off alone is a beginner's mistake. As you play better your Elo score will slowly rise and you will no longer be dropping in matches with people who do this. I haven't been in a game where this happens since Elo was introduced.

I will not refute the fact that some new players don't necessarily make the best battlefield decisions...

That said, they will learn and improve (assuming they care to) and will eventually come to understand what works and what doesn't and how to improve and become a viable team asset.

No one (not even us elite players :) ) booted up this game and were instant masters of battlefield proficiency...

Everyone started somewhere...

Are you saying that because a newb on your team died you lose and are frustrated about it? Me as well, I learned to accept it long ago...

When you're 56 years old you will wonder why you cared about such petty crimes.
