Now that I've taken a break from constructing big stompy robots, I'm back with another project. This time I'm doing the 3050 Clan omnimechs Hellbringer (Loki) and Summoner (Thor).

Since these two models share the same legs, this time I decided to start from the bottom up. Now I didn't much care for the high-heeled feet of this design, so I filled in the bottom a bit to make a more stable platform.

Sorry, I was in a modeling zone and didn't take any progress shots of building a foot. But moving on I did work out the lower leg.

Now I just need to figure out the basic shapes of the upper leg. More to come!

I'd hope so, but i feel like my skills have plateaued with my outdated computer. I'm using the same techniques I've used to build the Timber Wolf and Mad Dog.

Thanks! I shall endeavor to continue.

So far the upper leg has been an odd duck to figure out regarding its shape. I've spent hours trying to figure it out and I think I'll take a moment to let it sit and see if I can visualize a solution.

It's shaping up greatly. Which one of the two will you do first, though? :)

I needed to figure out how to slot the jets into place first. That way I can save this section to file and reload it when I build the Summoner torso.

For Clan 'mechs, I like the Timberwolf, Warhawk, Nova, Kitfox, and Rifleman IIc.

Hellbringer: Absolutely my favorite mech, despite its tissue paper armor and redundant anti-personnel equipment. Cannot wait to see what you do to this sucker!

After a night of insomniac construction, I went full bore on the model. Completed the left and right torso (really just modeled one and mirrored it) and set them in place. I then added the arms from my TWolf model and a SSRM6 from my collection of Omnimech pod weapons.

Just need to build the SRM mount, the ERPPC, and adjust the position and size of a few objects.

While it looks great so far, I cannot say I am a fan of that configuration of the SSRM6 launcher, personally.

That's how it looked, so that's how I built it.

I also wanted to differentiate it from my Warhammer SRM6 configuration.

I based the ERPPC on parts from the Large Hadron Collider particle accelerator. Sadly in these renders you can hardly see half of the detail. But this is the MOSTLY completed model.

I'll post some better views later. Right now I don't have time to do a good orthographic render. Instead here's some lower resolution, low light isometrics.

When I'm satisfied with this design, I'll move on to the Summoner/Thor. Hopefully it'll be a faster build since I really only need to build the Torso and Left Arm.
