They cant add more perks that make you stronger, as there is already way too much of a stretch between someone in a mastered mech and someone in a trial, especially as the stupid Elo system isn't keeping these people separate.
What they should have done is made it so you unlocked chassis as you go.

Community warfare goes a long ways toward maintaining interest, even if it's just player generated CW

I suppose they will get around to adressing this eventually. Hopefully I am still around when it finally happens.

I guess if you absolutely NEED a reason to play, you could try to get all your weapon accuracy stats over 90%
visible here- http://mwomercs.com/...ats?type=weapon
Or join a clan in some sort of organized tournament, though I understand those are difficult to arrange these days. But really, if you enjoy playing the game, why do you need a reason?

This game will never be a mmorpg where you can go nuts on finding goals lol. In your case, I would take a break. And come back in 1 or 2 months or so.

Don't be so harsh. Playing games for the sake of having fun is oldschool stuff. Nowadays it's all about achievements to show off and brag about what you did accomplish in the game. Getting to the point where playing a game almost becomes a second job.
All trolling aside though:
The game lacks long term motivation, but that's something the devs are aware of and working on with CW. The loot idea would be a good one if this game wouldn't have to appeal to casuals aswell. I'd love for a system that mimics the progress in the single player games: New stuff is salvaged from the mechs you kill. You have to make enough CBills to maintain your mechs and so on. But that stuff obviously is much too complex for those just playing an hour a week. Which I can understand. On top it's hard to figure out a system that is fair, balanced and unable to be abused.
Edit:
Aside from that I think having weekly ladders for solo droppers AND groups of 4+ would be a cool and motivating thing. But for the group stuff obviously some work has to be done to track the progress of a certain group of players.
