I have probs with the afterburner overlay (with SFX) from time to time  sometimes the videocapture wont work or the screenshots done with afterburner dont. No idea what causes it because on other occasions all is well..

I certainly wasnt able to capture footage that had the SFX effects in it. I had both running (AB+SFX) and ingame the sharpening, vibrance etc. all worked but it didnt show up in the video. It can be done though because theres tons of footage of SFX on youtube.

Quote from readme file:

Q: How do I make MSI Afterburner / EVGA Precision / Rivatuner OSD work with this mod?
A: To make MSI Afterburner work with this mod and others like it you need to :

1) Update to the latest version of MSI Afterburner.
2) Start MSI Afterburner.
3) Switch to the "MSI On-Screen Display Server" window.
4) Create a new profile for your game and change to it.
5) Click the big wrench icon to change advanced settings.
6) Go to General -> Compatibility properties and turn on "Enable compatibility with modified Direct3D runtime libraries".

MSI Afterburner is now compatible with shader mods.

You can also change the setting for the Global profile,
but MSI does not recommend this because it might prevent some Direct3D applications from starting.

The same (very similar) steps also work with EVGA Precision and Rivatuner OSD,
as all 3 tools are based on Rivatuner OSD.

Q: How do I use SweetFX with ENBseries?
A: By making ENB run SweetFX. You need to:

1) Rename d3d9.dll to sweetfx_d3d9.dll
2) Install the ENB series files into the same directory
3) Edit enbseries.ini so the top section looks like this:

[PROXY]
EnableProxyLibrary=true
InitProxyFunctions=true
ProxyLibrary=sweetfx_d3d9.dll

That should do it.

Awesome.

I haven't tried for a long time, since the 2.3.x series of Afterburner, and while it had that toggle I could never get it to work properly alongside ENBSeries with Skyrim, and as I use it for both overclocking and automatic fan speed control, I couldn't stop using it.

I'll give it a go with this.

Thanks for the help!

Been trying to install this. I keep getting a "Unsupported Video Card Detected" error. I can continue to load the game but none of the controls work in-game. I've done a few google searches but have come up empty. My video card is an ATI Radeon HD5970, I'm running Windows 7 64-bit, and made sure that I had the latest directx. Any ideas?

***UPDATE***

Was doing a bit more digging and found out that the culprit was mumble of all things. I rarely use it except for the occasional usage in EVE but had it running in the background. Closed out of it and it worked like a charm... Weird...

Nice. Working well. Much less of an impact for me as I already had post processing turned off in settings for a sharp, clear image, but it allowed me to turn down my overall video adapter color settings so everything that's not MWO looks normal again, and MWO is purdy.

I really like the slightly increased color. It makes Mechs stand out much more.

Did you try it with your settings or the user.cfg from the op? Heres a user.cfg with DOF = off and default high settings instead of very high.

Spoiler

Installed the easy version package from the OP with Budor's "high" user.cfg... this looks amazing and doesn't change my framerate perceptibly. Thanks!!

ETA: also I can confirm I have it working with MSI Afterburner and have recorded some videos!

Just tried this out. For me, it was not worth the sharpening artifacts. The only thing I wanted was more AO. Especially on frozen city. terrain shadowing would be nice as well. Next time you're at the top of a hill on alpine peaks, look at your shadow. You can see it just floating there since terrain self shadowing on that map is nonexistent

Could try lowering the sharpening or use another pattern.

Just open the SweetFX_settings.txt and adjust the settings under LumaSharpen. You can do this while the game is running and reload the shaders with the "break" key.

I use this:

Anyone else using this and feel like the FoV for them got widened?

Using same full screen setting but now my atlas cockpit seems farther away - zoom in and it's like blam, way into your face past the screen. I only pilot a atlas and it was a instant notice.

I used the combined zip file avaible on the first page.

The user.cfg from the op has a custom FOV. Open it with an editor and adjust the value in "cl_fov = 75". Removing the line will set default MWO fov. I use 63 most of the time.

I would recommend setting "r_DepthOfField = 2" to "r_DepthOfField = 0" to. Game changer for shooting mechs in the distance.

Wow thx for sharing.

Game looks so much better at no performance impact at all.

Just as ENB these shaders show how much impact things like lighting and colors have on the visual quality of a game. In my view this stuff is a lot more important than Resolution, Anti Aliasing or Anisotropy. Can't wait to use it on Skyrim too.

Edit: Oh btw my specs are: AMD Phenom II x6 1055T @2.8 GHz, 2x Radeon HD 5750 in CF mode, 4 GB Ram
Game Settings are all on Medium, AA off. SweetFX has no noticable impact on performance on this.

Is that what sweetFX is ? An updated version of ENB ??

Is it based on the ENB source ? Or someone just took the idea and made their own ? (as afaik boris or whatever his name was stopped working on ENB years ago)

Either way, it seems interesting, although some of those screens look a little oversaturated :) , however thats all personal preference really. :)

Yeah I use SweetFX on alien Colonial Marines, makes it look sharper and the lighting effects look better and more atmospheric.

is there any way i can keep my config settings?
the changes i made in the user.cfg do not seem to apply anymore.
i tried changing the values in MechWarrior Online\Engine\Config\CVarGroups_MWO without success.

It does make the caldera look EXTREMELY green, but that's due to it increasing the color on the fog too. Not sure if anything can be done about that with making the other maps look worse.

I just toggle it off for that map.

Try the files from this thread http://mwomercs.com/...sys-spec-files/

I thought those were included in the .zip the OP posted in the first post.
