The motion blur effects the cockpit and is INCREDIBLY ANNOYING

Other than that I like it.

You can fix that by disabling motion blur in game settings. It helped me.

Many thanks to the OP

S!

rgreat, using your files and works a charm! Only difference is that I am using PostProcessing at LOW, all other in Very High. I think you get rid of the Motion Blur in cockpit with setting it OFF in game settings and in user.cfg the motion blur distance to 0, like these 2 commands. It is disabled in rgreat's user file already.

r_MotionBlur = 0
r_MotionBlurMaxViewDist = 0

Meh, I set it up with and sure looked great then the game crashed less then a minute into the first match.

Not unexpected for a third party change, so I removed everything and the game works again.

So if you aren't sure about it, give it a try and if something doesn't work just delete the files and clear the config.

I had not a single crash with SweetFX.
Seems like something on your end is conflicting with it.
Like mumble or some other application which can use MWO Direct3D surface.

Well, you are right. It is easy to remove.

I had nothing else running at all. I'm sure its not somthing that will effect everyone obviously, but it was the only variable to cause that crash, just letting people know its possible.

Edit: Also for whatever reason the two trial mechs in my home selection both said 'in-game' no idea what that was about.

Could try lowering the sharpening or use another pattern.

Just open the SweetFX_settings.txt and adjust the settings under LumaSharpen. You can do this while the game is running and reload the shaders with the "break" key.

I use this:

Spoiler

:wub: No luck. I tried various pattern, offset biases, strengths and clamps but nothing worked. It's acutally nauseating when the whole screen is vibrating within 1-2 pixels about 4 times a second lol. I dunno what it is. I turned on and off AA thinking that might be causing it to bug out because it looks like the filter is actually turning on and off multiple times. can't figure it out. kind of a shame if i need to turn it off because i find it makes the biggest difference lol. Thanks for the help though!

Maybe that is effect from MWO built-in film grain? Film grain + sharpening of SweetFX can produce results you describe.
I actually removed film grain in my complete package zip.
Alternatively you can search for stand alone film grain removal mod at forum.

Just a heads up, but if any of you are using sweetFX and also playing planetside 2, SOE are banning for it's use so be careful.

Is there a premade config. that would simply improve the colors without impacting perfomance or upping up the graphics too much just remove the fugly filters?
Sorry if this was a bother. :)
well not premade just is there a spefific config option that turns off the fugly filters

Do you know if you will have to re-install this after the patch tomorrow? I figured the user.cfg will be changed during the patch.

you can just use the sweetfx settings. your user.cfg settings wont impact the sweetfx settings.

user.cfg file doesnt change between patches generally.
