For your first i say hunchback. With that ac20 you can hit hard and still get away if need be.

I would go with a jenner, raven, or cicada. They allow you to get out of the heat if you make a mistake.

You want a damage dealer? Take the Offense class, the heavy or assault available to you in this class is just what you're looking for (I'd say Awesome and Cataphract). They aren't the heaviest of the heavy hitters, but they deliver quite a punch and especially the Cataphract allows for solid customization to make it work for you. For people playing a MW game for the first time it might be best to use mostly beam weapons, with a light or medium AC or LRM (more shots = better chances for learning how to use the weapon).

Sorry to all the Atlas friends, but when it comes to damage dealing this 'Mech is actually sub-par for an assault. Ok, it has an AC-20, but only 1t ammo, same with the LRM-20. This basically means, that you're down to using your SRM and the medium lasers after half a minute. If you can make every shot with your big guns count, good for you! But chances are slim that you will hit every time.

Er, the Atlas's AC/20 has two tons of ammo. Besides, that's getting switched out for a Gauss right away.

if those are the 4 we can choose from I would take the hunchback to start with and of the 11 we know My "main" Mech is going to end up ether the Dragon or Cataphract.

If you just want to stand still at long range and splat things, go for the Awesome.

If you want to walk towards the enemy slowly and splat things, go for the Atlas.

If you want to hide behind a hill and splat things while avoiding being splatted back, Catapult.

if you want to run in behind people and stab them in the back, but be extremely fragile yourself, Jenner.

Depending on founders choice (which im buying) atlas, want an awesome (phat chance) and not getting 2 assault to start. My second mech is gonna be a cicada with a ppc (hopefully) so i can scout/scout hunt. Jenners beware if they close (try to close since i should be a same or a bit faster) I run home.

I like your plan Johnny. I'll probably be using a founder Jenner and stripping the SRMs and 2 ML to fit a LL. Scout and harass the bigger mechs, chase down enemy scouts when necessary.

Lol just the other way around! I want to do both! Just want to make the cicada a decent wep platform if im scouting with it! Only real light id cnsoder is the raven and thats cause of the sweet electronics but rather scou with fast mect and make some diff!

Id rther scout the big guys and hunt and kill the small ones! (jenners included)

I intend to load my mech with lasers and heatsinks and melt everything into slag. If i'm a light mech I intend to just do rapid light punishment instead of firing one shot every 10 minutes

lets try this flavor out take 1 dashsi. strip every thing out .. and i mean every thing.. put in the slowest xl reactor in then put in 11/12 clan auto number(2) cannons in, abut 5/6 tons of ammo, 1 er ppc in the center torso, then add armor more on front than rear. then put yr so goodies in. then desamate yr emenies with the ac/2 till yr in range of the erppc. if thier still there that is.. why u asking number 2,s cuase their tthe smallest type with the greatist range (in mw4 1200 meters) (againthe erppc 900meter) with abut minuim 4dble heatsinks +10 that come with the xl reactor. almost nothing will stand very long in yr way
