Screw that. SRMs are already heavily nerfed as boating has been compared to TT. In TT there are no hardpoints to limit weapons, and all these players insist boated mechs are balanced in TT.

And in TT SRMs are far more likely to do Through Armor Criticals, they can use alternate ammo, they don't have trouble hitting faster Mechs then they do in this game, critical hits do more damage, they are more likely to do head hits- head hits do more damage (cause pilots take damage), this is compounded by fall damage, SRMs have alternative ammo, and they do twice as much damage as LRMs whereas in MWO they only do about do about 50% more.

The reason these TT players are complaining is because when they play TT there is no automatch so they get to pick and choose who they play against and they can run all the impractical designs they want all day and add all these extra bizarre house rules and then croak that their Mechs are the best things since sliced breed and that boating sucks.

Now, even with the game slightly rigged against them, which it shouldn't be their tactics and designs are still failing and instead of admitting to it they are calling for a new nerf every week. First Gauss Rifles are OP, then LRMs, then ECM, now SRMs. Basically the game needs to be dumbed down for them.

LOL, hell I have a splatapult and don't like the stuff he's going on about.

Have to say though, lets not bring in alternate ammos, those came into the game after 3050 and lots of the tech/rules changes after then were really quite stupid to many people. Maybe because it allowed mechs to be really twinked out massivly bad.

Splatcat doesn't need a nerf (although, it will thru future patches). It's the people that don't know how to deal with one... they need the nerf.

Only thing I got against the splatput is the combo of the twist and speed for a heavy. All I ask is that it be given a blindside and maybe a little easier to outrun. ....However, since I started driving a 2xALRM15 XL300 Treb 7M.... I find putput less frightening. .....But yeah, I have no idea how you old geesers (j/k) dealt with all that confusing crap back in the 80s.... I'm glad we have machines do that for us now, one minute of MWO game time must have taken an hour back in the day

Yeah whenever tactics beat their ideas the game must be dumbed down just so they don't feel bad.

LOL, it was just fun to get together and have a laugh, did take a couple hours though.

I have no problems with the Cat or any other boat, i have problems with the weapons and mechanics they use. Such as the SRM's doing too much damage. But the thing is its not a HUGE difference, but it would be more balances at 2 damage per missile. so the splatacat would do a 72 damage alpha vs the current 90. 18 damage, not that huge so I don't know why they defend it so hardcore.

skill to get to the target and not get shot but other than that, the match I got the 4 kills they were funny as hell one shot kills

lol imagine the QQ if they brought Tandem Charge SRM rounds in... One damage to the IS one to the armor
Who forsees alternate ammo being sold for MC?

Well it sounds like you guys are having trouble with SRM boats, and they don't even have TACs. =)

at point blank range the game usually doesn't register the hit (hit detection bug)

if you fire all your SSRMs at once the game usually doesn't register the hit (hit detection bug)


Fix the bugs PLUS :

1. min distance 30m with sharp damage drop off to zero stop the hugging
2. fix splash damage
3. more even spread to 270m, srms should fly straight not squirely
