However, this game is made in the Unreal 3 engine, which isn't Windows-only, it's fairly cross-compatible. It's theoretically possible for there to be some sort of dual-OS launch. However, considering Piranha's tight funds and launch schedule, as well as their limited facilities and staff (65 employees), I wouldn't hold your breath. Porting a game over to Mac means having dedicated Mac testing platforms (which are expensive as hell) as well as experienced Mac programmers. I seriously doubt Piranha has those.

It is perhaps always an option to try and allocate some time and coding to make it function on OSX after the Windows/PC release has been around for some time.

It is for this reason that:
1. I don't own a WinBlows machine.
2. I will NEVER own a WinBlows machine
3. I will NEVER allow WinBlows to be installed on my computer ... not in emulation ... not as a separate partition ... not in any form
4. If a program or game requires WinBlows ... I vote with my wallet and I don't buy/get that program/game
If you choose to ignore the growing Macintosh computer base ... too bad for you. Because if there is no native Macintosh client for this game ... then I (and 80% of my friends) won't be playing this game.

And this is relevant because...?

Like a friend of mine used to say: "The problem with Apple is not really its pricing, it's not the 'better than thou' attitude, it's the majority of people using their equipment for the most part!" Point in case here I'd say.

Because a random troll (Draziwrm) wanted to make a stylish appearance on this forum with his first post, but having to use a Mac it took him a bit over two months to get the post written down and posted.

I see you choose most of your friends based on the OS they use.

So despite the fact that Mac has no decent antivirus, viruses for mac are on the rise, and windows has become just as stable as mac osx, not to mention you get quite a bit more bang for your buck with a windows PC, you can build your own windows PC, you can upgrade or modify a windows Pc as much as you like without voiding any sort of policy unless you buy from a different manufacturer which prohibits it, and most macs overheat since they are made more for form than function, and most of your parts are made by a single chinese manufacturer which is being looked into by the UN for violating human rights, and you have no choice in manufacturer. Oh and you only can use intel chips for your CPU, and oh lets not forget Windows is supported by quite a bit more software than Mac. oh and Apple is now moving to Israel unless I heard wrong.
Oh and did I mention you pay hundreds of dollars more than a superior windows or linux based PC? I've been building computers since 1999. A few years shy of you, but eh. I started when I was 7. I've seen macs, I used macs, I hate macs. Really, why would you pay more for an inferior machine? The OS is ok, and might be slightly faster in some applications on an identical machine, but if you can get a better machine in the first place for less, that point is moot.
i.e. macs- for rich people who don't care about having something better and just want what looks cool, or idiots with money to spend, or brain-dead monkeys who put themselves into debt.
