You are releasing a heavy mech on the day that you are ending the sale of that camo on heavy mechs.
*Hint hint*
I'm not sure how much MC you'll claw back by timing it a bit better, but some is better than none.
I know I'd buy Tigerstripe for my jager.

It would be in a lot of people's interest who purchase paint I'm sure.

It's called good marketing.
I think there are more bargain hunters in this game than you realize.
They have a sale on Tiger camo for heavy 'mechs that expires as they are releasing a new heavy mech hours later.
That's brutal marketing.

I am definitely going to buy a JagerMech, and I would definitely pay for tiger stripes on it on the offer, but I will definitely NOT pay the full price for it, when the offer ends just approximately one hour before I can start downloading that patch with the JM in it.
PGI, you are saying "no" to people wanting to give you money here.

While it would be nice, it doesn't make much sense to put something brand new on sale. lol

No they wouldn't.
What he said.
Early adopters will pay full price (or even bloated prices, like when limited supply items end up on Ebay). Sales are meant to get everyone who hasn't already bought something to spend money also, after every full price transaction that could have happened already has.
Look at which items go on sale during Steam sales to see simple real-world examples that any gamer can understand.

Tigerstripe isn't brand new....it's been around for a while and is currently on sale ending mere hours before they introduce another heavy mech to the stables.
No one is asking for Jager to be on sale, but for the sale of Tiger on Heavy mechs to be extended.
I'd even go so far as to say that camo sales on new mechs don't even start climbing until most of the people decide they like and are going to keep the mech.
Extending the sale even a day on Tigerstripe for Heavies means a chance of cashing in on camo they may not even get down the road on that particular mech.
It comes down to lazy marketing, not some master plan to milk more camo MC from their new Jagermech release. Funny thing is they could ethically milk more out of it by timing things better when they coincide with existing sales.

But then they'd lose money on all the Tiger camo sales they'll be making from all the OCD people who just have to have Tiger camo available for all their heavy mechs.
What they're doing is actually smart: Sale on Tigerstripe camo on Heavies that ends just before the new Heavy is released. So people pick up Tigerstripe camo on all their existing heavy mechs, then a new one is released and lots of people will likely want to Tigerstripe it, too. Better that they pay full price to do so. The early adopters and impatient folks pay full price. One day, it'll be on sale again, and the rest of us can pick it up then. Choice is yours.
