How will universe-sensitive battles play out? E. g., ones with necessary, fixed outcomes, or ones with important people in them.

I'm curious about resources. When conducting a war against another faction, will each side have limited resources -- i.e., X Jumpships with X Dropships with X Tonnage allowed?

And speaking of Jumpships, will the planetary conquests utilize Jumpships and their LY restrictions?

In a previous ask the devs it was said that groups could "party up" before dropping to play together with groups of friends. Is this possible for people of different factions/mercenary corporation affiliations as well? I.e. I'm a merc, one friend is a Lyran, and another is Kuritan. Can we group up and play together?

Q: Matthew Craig said that "We intend to make it easy for players to rapidly switch between configurations to customize their load-outs to fit the game about to be played." Except that BattleMechs have never been able to quickly or easily change to different configuration to fit the next mission better. That kind of flexibility has always been the OmniMechs domain and major advantage. How are you going to reflect that and keep people from abusing the ability to switch configurations before battle to gain an advantage over less experienced/wealthy players who don't know what the optimal configuration for that map is and/or don't have the money to afford the equipment to make such a configuration?

Will we be able to, during an attack on a planet during an online Faction vs Faction battle, see the drop sequence if you are an attacking force? (in other words, are you going to see the dropship drop you from high orbit and you get to see the drop while the defender's organize a defense?)

I am concerned about the role of Medium mechs in MWO. Light mechs have their place as scouts, Heavies as mobile weapons platforms, and Assaults as plodding death machines. Is there a compelling reason to pilot a Medium mech?

Will there be a difference in the speed of turning and/or torso twist to give the lighter mechs a decent way to compete with the Heavies/Assaults? Drawing parallels to modern day MMOs, tanks take damage but can't dish it out...in MWO tanks (Assaults) can both take damage and dish out the most...this seems out of kilter to me for death matches.

1) Will skins you have unlocked be avalible for all mech's or will each mech have its own set of unique skins?

2) How will the Clan Invasion play out in game will it be PvE (Players as the Inner Sphere v AI/ Developers as the Clans), PVP Where Players have the chance to play as the Clan vs other players, or will we only experiance it as a backdrop?

3) It has been said that if we play enough we can get every skill in the game on one Mech Warrior. But What if we choose to only pilot 1 mech how far can we expect to get in the Skill Trees?

Some questions about the transition of the tabletop rules in the game:

1) Will different mechs have different heat capacity (that is, amount of heat they can accumulate before shutdown or explosion)? I don't mean heat sinks and their work here.
2) Will mechs of different weight classes have the same critical slot numbers? (In Maximum Tech AFAIK lighter mechs have fewer critical space than in original rules).
3) How will you handle roundings unavoidable in TT game but unnecesary for video game? Let's see, we have running speed 1.5 times of walking rounded up, because mech needs to move certain number of hexes in TT. But why in the video game should your Dragon go 5/8 (top speed of 86,4 mentioned in the announcement), but not 5/7,5, if engine rating corresponds with walking speed of 5 and we have ho hexes?
4) Would it be possible to handle the equipment in less than half-tons? This is too connected with roundings, as some weight classes in TT, for example, benefit more from EndoSteel (35-tonner will save 4,3% of tonnage, or 1,5 tons by EndoSteel structure, but a 40-tonner will save 5% or 2 tons, and then a 45-tonner will again save only 4,4% at same 2 tons).

For the only question that I have is this: Will the CRB-27 Crab ever be re-introduced or must I relive my MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries days just to pilot the love of my life?

This was originally just going to pertain to the Founder's 'Mechs, but I'll open it up to 'Mechs in general - When purchasing a new 'Mech, will we be able to see how many weapon mounts each area contains? For example, from the 'Mech Lab video and some posts from PGI staff around the forums, we know the Hunchback can mount two ballistic weapons in it's right torso. Will that kind of information be available before we make our purchase, or are we going to have to figure out what can go where on our own?

If I were part of a mercenary group and I log in to MWO and no other players in my merc group are online, am I unable to join a match without them?, or could I in effect act like a lone wolf and be hired to help fill out the numbers in a lance for one of the other factions?

Chromehounds had a single world metagame, but the battles were fought on shards/regional servers
This can be accomplished by having 1 metagame, and allowing players to set preference in order of where they wish to play in the options menu eg: 1) Europe 2)USA 3) Asia
The matcher maker system will take this into account when forming matches and will match you to your preferred server first and formost, if there are no matches on your preferred server it will look at the next option in this case the USA.

This allows players the freedom to choose who they play with (some multi country units have been together over decades) whilst allowing those that want lower pings and smoother gameplay to have their way also.

Will there be any available customization options that will be visible to the pilot ingame? Specifically in-cockpit items.

On a related note, from what I can tell, the game seems to be taking a MW2 approach to cockpits (glass plus augmented reality/invisible cockpit walls). Is this true? If we glance left in the Atlas, will we see "through" the head, or just be looking at cockpit wall? Are there even glance options?

- Will flamethrower weapons be available at release?
- What is the status of modules and skill trees? Are you able to provide us with updates on these features?
- Is their any incentive to store the ammo for a weapon on the same part of the mech as the weapon, such as faster reload times, or will the ammo be just as useable by the weapon whether it is stored on the same arm or on the opposite leg?

- Will physical weapons be added to the game, Hatchets at first and then later on with expansions and the like, swords etc.
- Although a long way off will Pulse lasers be a more sustained beam weapon like they were in Mechwarrior three or will they be like the later games and a rapid firing burst of laser blasts.
- what kind of plan do you have for releasing mechs? Will you go by weight and choose one of each from the successor states for example or will you release X number of mechs that are generally associated with one of the houses?

In ye olde MW3 you could exchange an IS pulse laser for a salvaged clan version. Will clan weapons be available to IS players through some means, or is it simply a rule in MWO that if you want clan tech you should join the clans?

What is the function of CASE if there is no bleed-through damage?

Is the Centurion even in the game yet as there have been no screenshots of it, is taking a longer time to implement because the awesome artwork for it is more of a challenge to translate into a working model in-game, OR, are the players simply not touching that 'mech as the dragon is basically a fat relative that does the same thing but with extra tonnage to play with?

Will a 'Mech that is equipped with an Inner Sphere XL engine be disabled if one of it's side torso locations are destroyed?
