Buff Hunchback Engine Size

But the rest of the HBK line really suffers because of the low engine speed. Compare the HBK to the cent and you'll see why the HBK needs more speed. Armor is almost the same but one has drastically more speed and missiles. Missiles >>>> ballistics right now and as such you see a ton of very fast cents with 3x srm 6 and very few ballistic HBKs.

And, really, the best cent builds are not super fast 9D's. They're 9A's running standard engines. The hunchbacks can go exactly the same speed.

I'd rather see HBK's have their spindly arm armor reduced by 5-10% and have that added to the side torso (w/hunch) pool for a little bit more toughness to match their look.
Since TBT's get the 3C & CN9's get the D- I think the HBK should have the 5P added soon (ECM) and everyone will forget there were any other variants.

Since the arms rarely get blown off on purpose, it seems like a good tweak to the Hunchback.

They need to fix slow mediums. There needs to be a reason for Hunchbacks, Blackjacks and some day, Panthers, to exist. They need to come up with a mechanic that makes a smaller engine appealing.

In all actuality hunchbacks are sorta meant to be used as an urban brawler. As far as mediums go, they do their job rather well.
Might sound a tad odd, but an increase in the hitbox to the arms of the hunchback might be the right thing to make torso twisting useful for them.
With pgi's quirk system I think a increase in torso twist speed and maybe vertical degrees of movement would allow them to be more of a threat to light mechs and others because they would be able to get their main gun on target better.
Now should a centurion get a missile point nerf? Perhaps.

Really, I think the whole medium engine cap should be raised to 1.4 * base engine rating, to match lights.

I can get enough kills in the 4SP, 4P, and 4J to give me a positive KD. I'll give the 4G and 4H a try again once state roll back for ballistics has been implemented.
I do think allot of people don't know how to pilot one though. Gotta be patient, stick to cover and bigger mechs and wait for the right moment.

Trying to justify that its okay for the the Swayback to be overpowered because the Centurion-A is overpowered is a ridiculous argument. What actually needs to happen is the Swayback needs to not be made OP and SRMs need to be nerfed.
-Hunchbacks should do the most damage of all the Mediums. An SRM6 nerf would solve that problem since SRM6s are the reason Centurions outdamage the Hunchback right now. Hunchback engine cap should be upped to 275 as well, except on the Swayback.
-Centurions should be the most resilient of all the Mediums. Working as intended.
-Trebuchets should be the most versatile of all the Mediums. More or less working as intended, aside from the scaling issues.
-Cicadas should be the fastest of all the Mediums. Again working as intended, although the Cicada nerfs ought to be reversed, because they were just uncalled for.

The fact that you have to put the largest possible engine in a mech to make it useful is hurting the game just as much as SRM damage and weapon conversion. When people say they want the Urbanmech most are picturing it running at 150kph, not at TT speeds. I would love to see mechs like the Panther, but they would be flat out useless at their stock speeds.
