My first couple matches with it weren't that impressive, but after I added Endo and FF, got the armor up to 286 pts, and downgraded the engine to a 250 (max of 62.x kph), while adding an extra ton of AC2 ammo and another of AC5 ammo, as well as upgrading to Double Heat Sinks, it became more fun. I had the engine lying around from an old build so the makeover wasn't too terribly expensive, 2.5 mil about. If I had needed to pay for the engine it would have been four mil, which I probably would have balked at and given up- one ton isn't worth 1.5 mil.
It's a buzzsaw if the opponent is within 500 meters and ignores you, but considering how often you're hitting him he'd be a damn fool not to notice you. You can also be annoying out to a considerable distance. I've had both some of my lowest damage matches and some of my highest ever damage matches with this thing. Even with the extra ammo I still find myself running out, but if I've been moderately accurate I've got 600 damage in pocket before that. I spend a lot of time zoomed in, with thermals on, and this is the first time I've ever considered spec-ing into the sensor range module. I haven't yet, mind, but the Jag has me considering it.
The torso doesn't traverse upward very well. The arms do, though, so I imagine I look really silly when I walk around with my arms as far up as they can go- I can't see where they're pointing, so I must assume they're almost straight up. The cockpit feels squished and small, even more claustrophobic than the Stalker was for me at first, and it cuts off vertical line of sight pretty harshly, considering what the arms are capable of.
Hope that helps people on the fence.
Edit: this was with the JM6-S variant. Also, side torsos are pretty big, this doesn't really feel like an XL candidate to me.
