This post has made me abnormaly happy. I share other people's feeling that no matter how bad this mech performs it will impove the game through being the prettiest mech in the universe... Now to convince my wife that I need to buy enough MC credits to buy the four garage slots and four heavy mechs......

It has noooooooooooooooo armor, it's wide but very thin like a 2d character.

Purchased the JM6-A and upped the armor to a sensible amount (as at base its pretty much unviable in the current game).

Running dual uac/5, 2x srm 6, 2x ML, Ferro/Endo and std 260.

Without eliting it and fiddling with the above build all I can say is its currently sufficient but not stellar.

Can't really tell you how it compares statistically to the catas I've run previously or with similiar style mechs as stats not up for it yet (maintenance ongoing).

Side torsos are way too big to run an xl with the dual/ac20 combination.

Not happy with it really, but maybe I'll change my mind if I play around with it.

This is relevant to my interests. Is there side torso between those wings as well?

Yep, this sounds about right for the Jag... any ambitious fits are going to result in very thin armor- like the Rifleman and Jag always worked.

To make these work good, pilots will have to make the most of their range and ROF from light autocannons (maybe LRMs)... or come up with some closer range fits that sling AC10s and/or SRMs and stuff. (Like the old Davion Rifleman 3C variants)

I really hope they make any variant of the jager a Trial mech at some point, would be an awesome way to show new players everything wrong with this game in 1 mech.

Huge target easy to hit, slow, a light mechs wet dream to kill low burst damage. A very good reason to NOT adhear to all the TT bullsh*t where every mech has equal chance of hitting every other mech regardless of size or speed, this mech is totally pooched if you try any config that a K2 or Phract can do only better.

they explode rather quickly, but they do have a minuscule head box.

Headshot city. It will die to headshots 4/5 deaths, because most weapons you train on people for extended periods of time.

I like the idea of giving one of the jager variants an ECM. would work wonders considering this isn't supposed to be brawling and you don't want your sniper getting lrm'd

the head hitbox is a joke. whichever team has the most jagers is basically going to lose.

There are some good builds to try out with this mech but the hitboxes are too vulnerable. They need to fix the cockpit at the very least, it is far too easily destroyed right now.

Cant do anything other mechs cant do better, but this is the fun mobile of the universe wth 4uac5s. Just....soooo......dakka.
