I expended all my ammo, killed 3 Jagermechs in the process... then danced around my base playing hide-and-seek with a Cataphract, ramming his legs to **** him off until time ran out. Game over. We win.

I got taken out by damage from LRM-10, LRM-15 and LRM-20. So... you know... WHOOOLLE LOTTA LRMS.

then went for a run in my treb with a single LRM15 + artemis 360 ammo fired half lost track on half of those and still did 450dmg
I actually was lucky enough to hit a comando (as yet un touched) and instantly saw its legs go red yet its torso arms and head only yellow

Have you actually played todays patch? Come back when you have. It's not the same as it was before. Go 1 shot a few people, or get 1 shotted yourself, come back with your revised opinion.
...oh...and powering up and down to avoid incoming LRMs....are you simple?
Been playing. Played as an LRM Awesome, as a Cataphract, and as a LRM Raven. In fact playing as an LRM Commando as we speak. My damage output hasn't really changed at all. Just less ECM out in the field. More boats. Then again I haven't been using Artemis. So perhaps that has something to do with it? So far anyone I've seen with standard LRMs hasn't done all that great without a group of LRM boats to support 'em.

Seriously, if you're going to make us grind 3 variants of the Commando... make more than one playable!

All I have seen is screenshots. Nothing is different in game, except that legs do seem to be taking more damage than they did before, but no super high damage posting. Probably 40 drops today.

4x LRM-15 should kill, but it shouldn't overkill THAT much.

Sure I can stand behind a wall all match, but how long until I am surrounded by 3Ls or in the path of a dakkaphract? I tried maxing my leg armour and it made little difference, I tried putting in an AMS and all that did was add extra damage to my CT when my legs were blown off.
LRMs are a constant annoyance and only fun for the guy firing them. They either need a major nerf to their damage or tracking ability, or the AMS system needs a massive buff.
I grudgingly have to agree. Since first patch in march, my LRM boat has been a giant death dealing machine. So I've been playing it a lot in a maniacal way. Before, my boat would get 400-600 damage a game. Now I regularly get 700-1300 damage. It's pretty easy to see who's boating just by damage numbers.

Thats 2 weeks of absolute hell from people who have no skill in aiming anything but LRM's.
no. You're DEAD wrong (Get it? hahaaa). Rarely do I get caught by LRM hail when in a different mech, and it does take a bit of practice to learn how to actually get hits on players who know how to...use cover. Like real people in a war.
While I do agree that LRM boats are getting too powerful, if you're not able to effectively deal with it, then you're just not very good. Plain and simple. If I go up against a group that knows what it's doing, I get my *** quickly handed to me.

People were given ECM, AMS, the ability to actually -move out of the way-, to break the locks that LRMs require to actually do damage to targets, a minimum range that extends well into typical combat ranges, and it is still not enough.
Bottom line: LRMs don't need a nerf. They are already the most nerfed weapon in the game. If you are still having problems, with all the game has provided to let you defeat them, then it's your own fault for not using what you have been given. That, or the LRM pilot is simply better than you.
Yep, my Awesome with 2xALRM15 and Tag didn't oneshot or headshot any mech yesterday after the patch.
Until I see pictures and movies of these now overpowered LRM's I don't believe it and will tell the people to learn to play.
But still splash damage needs to be removed as fast as possible (I know that removing features is not easy in a software) or fixed that the missiles are only doing they damage of 1,8.
These are my LRM stats. LRM 15 12 4,155 1,656 39.86% 01:05:02 3,357

Edit: This goes along with multiple well past 1k finishes with a 3x arti LRM10 Atlas and multiple finishes in the high hundreds with both the above Awesome and the Atlas.

Missiles fired pre patch:
Weapoon system Accuracy Missiles hit Damage Damage per missile
LRM 15 40.1% 10699 18253 1.7
Missiles fired post patch:
LRM 15 40.0% 584 1768 3.0
Now it's a small dataset acquired over four games, but I dont think it should behave that significantly different. Whatever subgroup I create prior to that, it's not changing significantly from 1.7.

Maybe I need to "L2Play" but I have to disagree with those that are just saying learn to use cover and whatnot. Something is definitely wrong. Yesterday, great games. Today, huge mess.
As for suggestions on how to fix it, I am not sure.
Nerf missiles? I don't think that is the answer. People are just abusing whatever is wrong right now and I think it will lessen when it gets fixed.
Wait until the 2nd of April for a splash damage removal? I think we need something more immediate.
Anyway, this is just what I have observed this evening.
