First up:
Pro, capable of stupid amounts of firepower when properly equipped. Pin point capable damage no less too. The amount of firepower this thing can put on a given part of armor is very strong for the mech's weight class when everything is working right.

Pro: every variant I've run so far, at least after DHS being equipped has proven to be far more heat efficient than the stat would otherwise tell you. It's very good at putting fire down range for the long haul assuming you don't get too trigger happy.

Pro: UAC5s on this thing are drop dead sexy. Hell any AC is but especially the UAC5. It's more than a little refreshing to actually have barrels change with armament change.

Con: Arm articulation is pretty poor

Con: a variant that has 3 ballistics in each arm. Way too many for the weight of the mech there.

Con: Head hit box is insanely huge. I can not think of the last time I have been nearly head shot (stripped armor) so many times, so many matches in a row than when I roll the jager.

Con: Fairly large STs. Coupled with multiple ballistic slots, and missile mounts. Means to run Artemis you need an XL engine which is a huge liability in this particular mech. I think it should have a larger amount of armor be capable of being run in the STs for as large as they are. Even if you don't run an XL engine, the STs on this thing pop like crazy.

Con: Very small torso twist angles. (at least un specced) Couple this with the limited arm travel, and it's very hard to make this mech work for any form of close in work.

These have been my first impressions so far of the Jager. They're liable to change as time goes on and I get used to the mech (god it's so slow compared to what I am used to running!).

I dunno where to put this, so I just wanna say I like the Jagermech and here's what all the ballistics look like. I -just- finished putting this together.

[EDIT]: Changed to .png. jpeg was bad quality.
[EDIT]: I also agree.. I get head shot way WAY to easy. Worse than being in my Catapult.

Side torsos are very easy to hit, which is really ruinous to running an XL engine - which is one of the only ways to make good use of the hardpoints.

It still merits further testing, but at the moment I'm doubting that you will see the Jager used as a serious contender at the heavy position. (the XL + 2AC/20 isn't terrible, and neither is anything with 4 SRM6 - so there's hope for it yet)

People are on drugs. That or they bought into the whole crit seeking weapon myth... which in of itself probably requires copious amount of mysterious substances to have happen...

My problem with the Jagermech is mainly the lack of lightweight ballistic options. We need some ballistic weapons in the 2-5 ton range. This would fix whats wrong with the Dragon too.

Oh and also the Jagermech's head hitbox is way too big.

Been using them to take out light's legs to pretty good effectiveness since they're one of those weapons that have state rewind on them. I've taken out a lot of peoples weapons by cruising around at 78kph dubbing my pulse lasers into their torsos and unloading MG's, usually ends up taking out a weapon or two for sure.
It's pretty fun lol. but the novelty is wearing off.

Pro: Good mech for shooting things at different elevations since the arms can point up and down very well.

We know it's dumb, but that doesn't make it any less incredibly fun to play with, partly because it is so ********. That's basically all there is to it.

Tbh other then the head hit box, I see no con's for the mech,
just a lack of weapon choices duo to the weights

Six ballistic slots is about 2-4 shy of making it a almost viable MG platform.... I think if you had 8-10 MG the damage might add up nicely ....Hero mech Proposal, 4-6 ballistic slots in each arm please!

I love my Jagermech with:
6x mGuns (3t ammo)
2x ER Ppc
1x AMS (1t ammo)

315 engine and 16 double heatsinks

- nice Speed
- decent Damage at any range with ER PPCs
- 6 mGuns are nice extradamage at closer range, using few tons and slots, alowing big engine and 16 doubleheats

Which would go in the side torso, as the arms only have energy hardpoints.

So my feedback.

I have all three variants, two elite and one master.

So first of all, my full agree to Mavairo.
Love the mech, but there are some small problems.
6 ballistic weapons - wow, cool. But it is a problem to use this. With 6 AC/2 you will have only a minimum of ammo for this guns and no lasers as backup.
4 UAC/5 is possible, but with a small engine, less armor and only a little bit ammo.

Now I changed the weapons more than 20 times to find a nice configuration.
One nice thing is:
1 AC/20
1 LBX 10
2 MLaser

or
2 UAC/5
2 MLaser
Full armor

So it is possible to build a nice mech. With 5 tons more weight (70 tons) it would be perfect.

Some bad things:
Acceleration is slow, changing from forward to backward is very slow, torso twist is not fast.

But I like the Jagermech

No, Assault mech proposal - 2 ballistic slots in each hit location (except head and legs).

I might not even build a Triple or Quadruple Gauss Mech with that. Maybe. If hell freezes over.
