If we are going to have lobby's in the future, just make a few lobbys that have 3rd Person View enabled.
If PGI want's to keep their player base, all they need to do is restrict 3rd Person View from CW matches.
Simple.

3rd person view. If it was so good there would be a MW game using 3rd person view out there. But... wait... There is not one.
Adding 3rd person view will just make aim bots and jump shooting work better. It will remove any SA needs and you think lights running around are hard to deal with now... lol.....
I know that they might get a few new players. But I would be one they lose.

If you absolutely must implement a 3rd person view make sure that the camera give is not so far removed from the cockpit so that the view is not so skewed. Think of the original Ghost Recon games where you are looking right over his shoulder.

Then those poor people who can't walk without crashing into a wall without 3PV will still not be able to play.

I also do not recall any of the players using anything but 1PV.

This thread is not about whether or not 3rd person should it exist. Rather, we want your feedback on how it should be implemented. Understand we're not debating the merits of having 3rd person or not.
third post in the thread
They dont care IF we want it.

-- If it is gimped enough, I am fine with it.
---- A 'vanity' mode. ( Can see your own mech) (would make cool videos)
---- Not accounted for during any of the "events" offered by PGI. (Unless exclusively 3rd related)
---- Might be interesting to see the game in a different perspective
--Newer players might benefit from it
--Lower rewards from matches if not completely removed
------Training guide // Practice matches (Only)
--- Players within their first 200 games (give or take) are able to use it 'freely' (no limitations)
--- Players beyond "X" games recieve NO assistance from 3rd person (HUD removed)
----Players beyond "X" games recieve NO rewards in 3rd person. (No stats, no rewards)
(Functioning like a practice mode where new players can actually use it with no restrictions)

1PV in its current state is pretty much useless for aiming & shooting behind you, if those rear facing mechanics were ever to be implemented in game, including shooting forward & backward simultaneously when being surrounded / circle strafed.

1PV in it's current state is fine for this if we could have a "rear facing" camera, but I suspect the problem that plagues the advanced zoom module would rear it's ugly head here too.
