Pretty sure it's because they don't have third person.

Sir my K/D and all is just fine. So many say what you are, and as I said I was quite successful during Hero in that build. Shake your head if you wish but I stand my my baby. And will pit it vs anyone's build any day. Even when I do die I have topped the list most matches. Win or loses I average the top 3 damage dealers. I collect 1-2 kills 3-5 assists most matches. I have done my job for my team. In PUG matches I am normally in the top 2 win or lose. *shrug* Maybe you aren't as good a player as you think you are if you cannot kick but in my ride...

Oh also we need to get back on topic. The reason I posted my build was to see what would be said. I heard exactly what i thought would come from folks who haven't been in matches with me.
Each of you are basically echoing my own statements about my Stalker build. If it works for you and well, then who is someone else to tell you your build sucks? You can recommend changes and explain why you think your changed to someone else's build is better, but this would be the third time some one on the forums said a mech of mine was "terrible" and that "this build I made is 100% better than yours". Sometimes I like their changes, other times, well... you can see the "other times" right here.

Going a little far to say Double Heat Sinks are a pay wall. I can point you to games that actually do have "Pay Walls", defined by gear or buffs that can only be bought with real money, that players will never progress without.

Are we bitter... Something tells me there isn't an altogether altruistic motivation for your postings. You can call it elitism, or whatever you wish, but premium time does help to earn Cbills faster, that's the whole idea of it, and by not having premium of course it's going to take longer, but you will eventually reach the same place. At least DHS are purchasable with Cbills. They could have gone the Battlefield route and maybe 70% of the content pay only. I'd love to run the AUG in BF3 like I did in BFBC2, but to get it I'd have to pay for it. If I want a Gauss in this game, all I have to do is play a few games and use in game currency.

You know the old adage. Time is money, and this is the worst paywall this game has. It's far more damaging than gold flush because the investment to output ratio is beyond anything else in the entire game. I think things like endo and FF are the same level of pay to win upgrade, but those are attainable and aren't obscured to players. They also matter FAR less. A 27 shs 8Q switching to dubs will regain ~14 tons. Endo gives it like 4. This system is ludicrous, the amount of power it gives to players that can afford it over ones that don't is wildly disproportionate, hugely imbalancing, and hugely damaging.

They can't be mixed in MWO because they can't be mixed under the rules of Battletech. They're trying to simulate that, so a simulator that breaks a lot of the major rules would be rather pointless. Single heat sinks exist because they are the standard in the game. Be thankful it didn't start out simulating 3025 (although I would have preferred it as an old-schooler) and you wouldn't have your precious Gauss, XL engine, DHS, LBX, UAC 5, streaks, coolant flushes, Endo Steel, FF armor, etc. I propose that anyone who complains should be given a Mackie to pilot for their next 50 matches.

Thousands of dollars can't be farmed as fast in real life as spacebucks can be grinded out in MWO (unless you're Bill Gates or something).

Also, money in real life is something you can hold in your hand (unless it's in your bank account/credit card, but a credit card is a physical object too...). I can't reach out and touch my C-Bills.

Economy is economy, even a fake one. The point remains the same. I can either spend my c-bills on DHS for a mech that I don't feel needs it, or I can save up for weapons to make them mech work for m e, or I can save them for a new mech so I can unlock the elite proficiencies on a fully customized chassis...

Doesn't change the fact that the metric is the same whether it's real or virtual currency. I pay for most my purchases with a debit card, so in effect that money exists digitally.

In an in game economic sense, for example, I buy a Stalker 4N as my third Stalker. It comes stock with SHS. For the first month of its existence in my mech lab I feel no need to invest 1.5 million into it for DHS as I use it very rarely. In the meantime, I run it once in a while with singles and feel no need or priority to put doubles in it just yet. That's my choice. It runs better with doubles, but it's not impossible to run without. The entire argument here is this cyclical conversation about how SHS need to be buffed because DHS are always going to be better. Completely unnecessary. That's the definition of an upgrade.

That's my point. Thanks for the reinforcement of my point. I think you said it better than I could.

Honestly? If it took real time to make 1.5 Mil you might be right. But I can grind 4 mil in 4-6 hours without premium time. So Dubs are not that hard to acquire.Every Mech I own has em, and they have them within minutes of owning the Mech. So this wall you speak of bust be made of tissue. And you so miss the person I am due to deep seeded hatred for opposing opinions I think.

You and pretty much everyone here are unable to make me unhappy. Just sayin'

I propose that anyone who doesn't complain have their account transferred to mechwarrior tactics because that's what they actually want to play.

You wouldn't have 9000 posts of troll if you didn't enjoy it. I can't destroy you in game because elo and I can't make you unhappy because you love being ignorant. I'm aware that I can't make you unhappy directly. Hopefully, in the end, the devs can see that you're probably the worst kind fo customer they can have (the kind that wants the game to fail through ignorance) and makes you unhappy by making this game better.
If the game dies? I don't have to talk to you (yay!)
If they make the game better? You quit and I don't have to talk to you (yay!)
I think I just want to get out of stagnancy.

There is no reason for them to even exist. Double heatsinks are an absolute upgrade. They are basically a mandatory part of any functional design in the game.
The only mechs that benefit, at all, from the existence of single heatsinks are Urbanmech-esque joke light mechs that use up all their critical slots and try to run a 150XL Engine, or Atlas/Stalker builds that decide to run 40+ heatsinks, wasting twenty plus tons that would otherwise be spent on weapons in a good build. We can live without these joke builds.
No.

Finally we're at the heart of the matter. If that's the main thing disappointing you, the amount of time needed to afford things, then why not make a new thread stating that rewards are out of whack and that Cbill payouts should be higher. It seems like your main bone of contention is the fact that it costs 1.5 millions for DHS, and I FULLY agree with you on this. Upgrading to DHS for 1.5 million is ******** and should be like a quarter of that so that it is freer choice. And once gained, they shouldn't charge you full price to swap back.
Edit: A word that starts with R and ends with arded is censored. Really now...

I agree with some of your posts but 1.5 million for DHS is WAY too much. It ****** me off to have to save for that even with premium time.

@FupDup
You do indeed mention that they need improvement. Response was probably a little kneejerk on my part, as it seems that this thread I'd basically an "us and them" ,so a lot if the times, your agreement with Protection and the Kill SHS party has sometimes blended together, much as it sometime looks like me and Joseph and Mercules are in total agreement, when there are shades of gray in both camps, so apologies if I lumped you in unfairly.
I still don't see a need to "improve" them even, so much as to improve the Meta of the game, which would give them a home still in play without ANY changes. I think a lot of the issue is still the disconnect of the POV from those who are more the twitch shooting crowd, and those of us who joined specifically for Role and acommunity warfare. Since the entire game us (supposedly) still set around some form of persistent economy, it seems shortsighted to make changes to things which should be fine, when and if we actually get a working Meta.
SHS really don't work if one is looking at it purely from a casual, TDM type of game. That is certain, but too many people's seem to be assuming that that is all MWO is meant to be, or even will offer. (and I hope they do offer an official down nndirty tdm option. But removing, improving or otherwise changing SHS for a mode we don't even know we afe getting, and been insisting it be essentially a global change, I can't remotely agree with)
