I like how the Founders are going "Nuh uh, we aren't drowning in C-bills, no way".

Deftly dodged gotta give you that.

You assume wrong about point 2. It's isn't even close. Cadet bonus comes out to about 7.8mil. The 'period' you're talking about was a little over two months.

1. Little over two months starting Oct. 29th. So a period of time filled with multiple holidays plus all the, "I've got my kids this weekend so we are having this holiday on the other weekend." "I can't get off on that so can you come the weekend before?" In addition my best friend's wife got a job near where we live, the lived 3 hours away, and so ended up staying with us every weekday resulting in a slight schedule change. One might think my friend would then have more free time, but it was actually less since he was busy packing, applying for various jobs, and such. Basically my friends stopped playing much because of hectic schedules. I was busy too.

In fact I still only get to play with friends maybe once a week and might hop on by myself and pug once a week even now.

2. I wasn't 8 man dropping and stomping PUGs. Because everyone's schedule was so disrupted I was doing more PUGging than anything the few times I was on.

3. I was running Commandos and the rewards for "scouting" were minimal at that time. The change over to Kills and Assists bringing the most cash meant I wasn't making as much as some of the larger mechs unless I got a lot of spotting bonuses. I'd get my 1 kill a match and that would be that.

7.8 million?

I bought a new Jagger and have played a couple nights since I bought that. I'm at 3.+ million. Money comes fast in this game with or without that bonus but it is helpful. It is even better... Gasp... if you spend any money on the game. Why would PGI ever do that?

His Alpha strike on the forums is much more devastating than it is in the game.

Having to use more buttons on a standard console controller confuses and frightens him.

lol this thread is priceless.

"I don't wanna splash real money to have the same benefits of founders/premies. I want it all given to me for free!"

Either suck it up and spend money or get better at the game so you make some wins. I don't even get to play that often and I have two kitted chassis and am nearly ready to buy my third AND I completely wasted my cadet bonus, so I had to save. I have no issue sharing components if I need to, in fact it's much more fun that way.

0/10 See deforce for tips. He's moderately better at this than you.

Here's the thing, none of you golds can deny that you're swimming in C-Bills. You can't.

Since OP doesn't have a time machine, he ain't getting 65 engines anytime soon.

An 300XL costs 4.9mil.

Per match win without premie, 120k-150k tops. I'm being generous here

With Elo though, it will attempt to normalize you to 50-50 WL so gotta count losses too. Could be anywhere between 50k and 100k.

75k average earnings. So about 65 matches to get that 4.9mil

Average matchtime say 8 mins, total time 8 hours. For one engine. One.

Rough numbers of course.

And that's assuming you do well in every single match and have perfect luck.

I honestly don't know why I bother though, you can't cure Gold Vision.

since there is not tiered level of mechs/equipment, once you buy something, you have the best the game has to offer already.

in almost any other game, specifically MMO's how long does it take to get the best gear????? lets use wow for example, I was in the #1 guild on my server by far(at least 1 world first, many server firsts). Eventually I had the BEST gear there was, I dont even want to go into how many hours I had to put into farming herbs, learning new raid bosses, wipe after wipe, repair bill after repair bill, but thats what it took to get the BEST gear. WoW did consume WAY too much of my time, but in the end I think I spent nearly or over 1 year of actualy game time INGAME.

MWO is one of the easiest grinds I have played in terms of getting what I wanted.

/sarcasm

Let's just scrap the entire mc/cbill system and unlock everything for everyone. PGI doesn't need to generate any kind of revenue.

Well, if you just had to buy everything once, what would be the point of playing after a few months? "Well I bought every single weapon and engine in the game, and can make my mechs however I want to. I'm getting bored, now that there isn't any reason to play and grind c-bills..."

I don't see what this has to do with the arguments made in this thread. OP wanted some convenience not free stuff (doesn't stop the terminally stupid from saying he wants free stuff though)

People instead told him to go grind some more, because hey 'we already have tons of ******* cash from months of advantages'.

I was merely pointing out the hypocrisy involved.

It's convenience over work.

If you want something in this world, you earn it. And buying things (as in life) is the basis of an economy. the OPs suggestion would completely destroy the need for an in game economy, or any benefit for faction perks.

I have one of everything, guess I'll go pay (insert new title here). Not a good basis for player retention.

That's the problem with console gamers, they just have to unlock something and move on.

Psssst. I'll let you in on a little secret. I have 10 extra mechbays. I was making well over 350k per match before R&R was removed. I have premie time ticking down right now. I have some 25 mil lying around unused.

I know exactly how much money you were making, because guess what I made that much too.
