The catapult isn't an ancient siege engine.

I don't know, it's a pretty old 'Mech. And it primarily stays back from the fight and lobs ordinance downrange.

Further evidence proving that Kuritans are stupid. Join House Steiner (or Davion if you must) and let's show them how it's done.

If 'Mechs had to live up to their names, Zeus would be incredibly OP. Actually, Steiner would be the win the entire Inner Sphere since they basically mass produce demigods.

Interesting you should mention that, but Atlas was one of the Titans of Greek mythology, and was tasked with holding up the heavens, not the earth. It was a misinterpretation that led to the modern error that he carried the earth on his shoulders, and this led to compilations of maps to be named an atlas.

So you're saying the Atlas should be an Aerospace Fighter? Let's just strap some jump jets on it and call it good. -_-

Isn't having four fingers on a mech considered a bad omen in the DC? Odd.

no, modern day China so it would be cappelen.

Realized that this is my 100th post.

Has 10 Ultra AC2's and 4 MG's...none of which will fire if the unit is submerged.

You sure it wasn't spelled Craken and they were refering to what the designer wasa doing when they made it look so goofy?-_-

That, and it doesn't lose its primary buffer panel flying out of orbit. For no apparent reason too.

I don't know if I would call it the worst name... (yes, another list of contradictions)
After all, the Raven doesn't fly, has no wings, and I've never heard one say 'Nevermore'
The Cataphract would kill any horse it rode into battle.
The Spider is missing four limbs.

And the Jenner's phone number certainly isn't 867-5309

You can make fun of the Dragon now, when its only the DRG-1N config, but just you wait until we get the Grand Dragon with that PPC later on.

And if it does you'll probably want to have your tech check those leg actuators right quick. ;)

If you want to assume that all dragons breathe fire.. sure ok, then consider the LRM's the Firebreath, or if it makes you happy, once the Lost Tech is available, just swap out the LRMS with a couple of SRM 2's with Inferno Rounds.

To be fair they probably named it that because no one could figure out how the hell it stays upright...like a sea creature on land...I mean really...how the hell does that thing even walk?

And I might have to vote for 'Grand Dragon' as the worst name....I imagine a bunch of white painted dragons wearing bed sheets and pointy hats...

Hmmm - Potential long-range firepower: 2 PPCs = 20 damage.

Potential short-range firepower: 1 SRM6, 2 M-Lasers, 2 S-Lasers, 2 MGs = 32 damage.

I'd say the ENEMY is screwed either way.

Yeah, 2 PPCs that you can't dual-fire consistently without overheating, short range firepower that is outclassed by some 'Mechs half it's size, and not enough armor to use it anyway. The Warhammer is a solid direct-fire support platform, no mistakes, but in direct-combat it is completely out-performed by 'Mechs smaller than it (Crusader and Thunderbolt come to mind).

If you look at most East Asian mythology, the dragon doesn't really have huge giant wings. Maybe that might explain why the mech doesn't fly.
