That is how you make money. Relase the Hero version before the normal one comes out!

Now here comes the P2W talk.

This is a great marketing strategy. now thats using your noggin! this and the MC monthy per content known as mech bay pure genius. no P2W talk but on to the things that are not so smart; 1:75 tonnage scaling is something a gradeschooler could come up with.

It throws out the role warfare pillar. and makes it seem as if heavier units are valued more

someone suggested, selling the hero mechs like normal mechs.MC priced depending on gear etc. and then add a set amount of MC to that price

So lets say. (gear*which is proportional to tonnage* converted form Cbillworth to MC) + 200MC = MC cost of hero mech.

i imagine the current system is a system that took the least amount of effort to conceive. And this is something you'd dont want to slack on/want to get right the first time. cuz if at an point you decide to change it, the people who bought these things at original pricing system won't be happy.

Or maybe they are doing that thing they did with Consumables to see how much they could get away with first. before changing it.

with 30+ dollars i'd get full retail(nonbeta) digital copies of new releases like SC2 HOTS i've been hesitant to buy. And hell better to support a gracious polished company than a greedy unreasonable one.

Did they already announce which mech is coming next month? If not, it's probably the Highlander coming with the hero variant.

And we know the hero mech is coming out before highlander... how?
Theirs no ETA on when heavy metal becomes available. We only know that its in april, the same month highlander comes out.

Now, using 2 little things I call "logic" and "common sense". I can see both the hero and highlander coming out on the same day.

Now, going further:

Putting into account that the first patch for april is april 2nd. The second patch will be on the 15th. This is probably when both the highlander and hero mech will be introduced into the game. If not then, the 29th would be the next guess. But thats too close to May IMO.

But hell, this forum doesn't want logic and common sense. It wants to freak itself out with crack pot theory's and PGIisevil conspiracy's.

Capital letters make everything more important.

I would have used an exclamation point, but that jerk used the forums daily allotment, now we all have to wait until tomorrow. Thanks guy.

These hero variants are really getting out of hand if we're now getting the hero version before the regular version is even added to the game. Assuming you do get it, how will you work the skill trees? You're suppose to just sit on Basic traits for 2 weeks? Hopefully they are same patch... doesn't make much sense if hero is first.

6750 MC will be a bit steep, but I think quite a few people will pay it. That is assuming that 75 MC per ton is still the price, but I have seen nothing to say it is not.

I don't think its an evil conspiracy. I think its good buisness. I think its great if it is a hero version first from now on. Anything that they can do to bring in more cash flow.

Sweet Jesus, they haven't released squat yet! I've heard the new unstoppable gold ammo mech is out though, a 150 tonne 12 gauss toting monstrosity cautiously titled "The Kneejerk".

Its pay to get something slightly before hand.

When OB started and they removed the Cent AH you could only Master the Centurions by buying the YLW, until the Cent 9D was released a couple of weeks later. That did not break the game, so I do not see how releasing the Highlander Hero will either.

And a poster above has a good chance of being correct, I would not be surprised if the basic Highlander variants are released at the same time as the Hero.

Actually, I think it's a great idea... if not that, someone mentioned in another thread that when a chassis comes out, to sell it for MC first, then 2 weeks - month later sell it for CBills.

I love how people throw that $5mil figure around like it's a lot of money. Cracks me up. But when you're weekly allowance is $20, I guess it would seem like a lot of money.

I am just saying I like the buiness model. Whatever keeps this game on my computer screen for the foreseeable future works. It is just an advance purchase for something that we will all be able to get in a few weeks anyways.
